Agreed, had to be someone that knew of the car. Mention to anyone it was going to be out in a shop? It was either a serious case of dumb luck (in the thiefs case), or your car was the target.

When I had my bird, and took it to a shop once, it confirmed I won't leave it alone when possible. Bastards shoved the car onto their street in a crap neighborhood. Waited two hours for a tow truck (electrical issue they couldn't diagnose), and in that time watched a few different cars slow and case the car...including two guys who drove and stopped three times.

Just can't trust leaving anything unattended anywhere, for any give time. Granted this is not meant to offend KK since this was likely a one time incident.
 
Damn this is one of my biggest fears...Hope you find the thieves through craigslist. It's absolutely amazing the nerves of these people. Seems like they took your stuff from the glove box. Had anything in there that is easy to track? Why is it that I think 2010 is a very bad year for members of LVC?
 
I have a door glass that I'm going to put in as soon as I get the car off the trailer so I can open the door fully...

Yes they broke the drivers door handle...

They also crushed in the drivers rocker and crushed the passenger fender and door...

And they cut all my trailer straps....
 
Stack, I think it's someone that knows you and knows when you're not around that car and not going to be around it. My guess would be that the deck might hit a pawn shop but unlikely at this time. Might be sold to a friend of the person that stole it. The rims will show up sometime or another. Someone will find them on another car on another forum.

There are a lot of us involved with other car sites and if they aren't found on ebay or CL, they'll be found on another forum sooner or later.

I know how it feels to have no windows and a large loss all in the blink of an eye. Different circumstances but to us, a large loss.

The 2010 luck on here is running thin for some reason.
 
with all that white stuff on the ground it seems you should be able to figure out what kind of vehicle and direction of travel
foot prints?
 
if you need 17" wheels with a mustang bolt pattern I have a set
with tires you can barrow will not work in winter though they have DRs
on two of them
 
maybe the shop where this happened has insurance, or you might have comprehensive that would cover some of that-if it is that much out in the middle of nowhere I have to agree that someone knew about it and snagged the easiest to get, easiest to sell items-wheels/tires and deck. That is everyone's worst nightmare . "Whoever is responsible for that is a :q:q:q:qing asss hole
 
this sucks! sorry to hear about this kk and stacks. I've been on searchtempest.com and haven't come across anything yet on ebay or craigs but i'll keep looking. karma will be a bitch when they are found!
 
man i wish i could help you out... pisses me off to no end when some little :q:q:q:qs have to screw up a nice car.... makes me want to put the lug nuts with the special key on them even though i dont care for them... if there is anything i can do let me know but i doubt the rims or deck will hit my area...

Well I went and borrowed Kirk's 18" cobra R's so I can move it, then I will replace the window and just start fixing the damage...
 
unreal man i wish i was closer to give you a hand, specially after what stack did for me. this really bums me out.
 
That's a crappy deal Stack!
I've had the same thing happen. I dont know how soon you want to fix the body but I'd be happy to help, I love to do paint and body now that I dont do it for a living. I also have a nice fitzadent gun that doesnt put any holes in the body to pull the dents.

Thanks to Kirk I got the car on wheels, in the shop and put in the door glass I had.

Now that is was in the shop I could further asses the damage...

They messed things up quite a bit... but nothing that isn't fixable... the door really bums me out though...

you know what, as crappy as it is, those wheels dont actually look half bad on it!! brandon do what you gotta do to it, then get it down here we'll make her cherry for stack. my end was paid for, now i just gotta sit and wait to work my magic!!
 
It just really sucks as I have always just parked cars outside the shop without a worry... now all I can think is that stuff is going to get stolen...

Stack already has his wheels picked out and after I shake off the bad I will kick some ass and get the car done!
