Back in the game. My LSE thread

Is this factory? It does sound pretty mean and I've been told its pretty loud from inside the house. I don't have another LS to compare with local so.

Tips looked different than another picture of an LSE I saw earlier.
 
Hard to tell but just picked up some SilverStar Ultra bulbs for the lows and highs. And regular SilverStars for the fogs. Really like the color for now it looks updated.

May have to look into them although i never use my highs just lows and fogs.
 
Looks like I have different resonators as well. That actually looks more like a brace when I look underneath from what I remember. Its hard to tell in the pics but does it have an x-pipe on it already? The car does sound pretty beefy so I guess this explains it.

Really worth it on the bulbs. They were a little pricey but honestly the color looks very nice and clear white.
 
I dont see an xpipe...your pipes go straight into the cats.

Looks like previous owner cut out factory H-pipe and resonators, installed aftermarket resonators with custom H-pipe and
aftermarket tips.
 
Nice. What about the mufflers? Those look factory? I'm going to have to look at it again and see whats going on down there. Is it worth putting an x-pipe on or should I just leave it how it is? I'd like to get a little better tone out of the car and obviously performance is a plus.
 
Thats the same way my factory mufflers were installed so i would say yes but the stock mufflers are insanely quiet.

aftermarket resonators may have opened up the sound but it would be even louder with magnaflows.
 
They may be factory mufflers....i dont see any markings on them.

For sure the resonators arent factory.
 
Those mufflers dont seem like factory to me. Any way you could stick your head up there and see? lol. Maybe with a mirror or something.
 
Same as gen II...if those are oval then yeah they arent factory but they sure arent magnaflows.
 
Haha I would love if they were Bassanis. Ill actually go out there tonight and check it out. I can throw it up on the jack quick and look. Where are the markings for Bassanis? What should I look for on the resonators as far as markings to find out the brand. I wonder if all the piping is upgraded as well.

Maybe I can take a video to give you guys an idea of what it sounds like. Its pretty mean and has a low tone but nothing as loud as magnflow
 
They look similar to Bassanis.. I can tell they're not because of the rolled edge.. Bas has them welded.. Maybe a cheaper muffler because of the roll?
 
No the piping looks stock.

Just get under and take a picture of the muffler and we can tell you if its stock or not.

Magnaflows are obvious as they say maganflow on the side.
 
borla and magnaflows have rolled edges dont they? I thought they did from when I had them.
 
It's actually 2.5" from the resonators back. The mufflers are Dynomax? Never heard of them but they're stainless and obv are no Bassani or Magnaflow. Looks like all I have to upgrade is the rest of the piping, add an x-pipe?, and switch the mufflers.

Dynomax are alright. They're one of the bigger brands. I'd add an x-pipe and leave the mufflers. The x-pipe will even out the tone/flow.
 
Alright I'll leave the mufflers for now and put in an x-pipe. Should I buy a specific brand? And do you think I'll notice a difference in sound?
