Another mark bites the dust!!

i was on my way to work the other morning and my car sputtered and shuts off i thaught i was out of gas becasue the message center said low fuel and i wasnt paying attention to it but i guess the filter housing gasket gave out all the way and let all the oil out on the way to work so i try to get some oil in it and put some gas in it and it will just crank unless i hold the pedal all the way down and it will start but will make a loud knocking sound from the passanger side and when i let go of the gas it will shut right off no smoke or anything but i think its done. i dont know what it can be but i think its done please hellp all is appreciated

That sucks what happened. I'm sure with the 114 degree heat today in Yuma it did not help. If you need a motor I know of four Mark VIII's in the Valley that are in wrecking yards. Don't know if they are any good but it might be a place to look.

I'm all in this because I only know of me and one other person from Alabama that post here but anyway MrkBaker, besides a big "fukk you", a "RUN-ON SENTENCE", sometimes called a "FUSED SENTENCE" has at least two parts, either one of which can stand by itself. In other words, two independent clauses but the two parts have been smashed together instead of being properly connected. Also, post whore is simply just that. It's not post-whore. It just so happens that this Alabama resident, that being me, had a 12th grade reading level in the 6th grade. Judging your sentence structure up above, you would be considered to be the dimwit.

Example: The post below is one of yours. I see many many flaws in that post but did anyone question your English?

seriously, a brief or extended failure to run/start would have to be electrical in nature since it is intermittent-like a bad connection. Because it does not seem to affect the electrical system inside he cabin, maybe a bad connection at the starter or starter relay? ECU getting cranky? I wouldn't dismiss the possibility that you have some issue with your battery or connections, even the alternator.
You being anti-noob, know that electrical systems on these 12 to 17 year old cars are getting on in years, and the 100 miles of wire in them are prone to cause problems as time goes on. It sounds like you've had your's in pieces many times, maybe once or twice you had a bad day and missed something.
