This is am image from a Mark on eBay. The pictures dont show too much detail, but the car does look nice.... except...

I was just looking at that car. I don't think that stuff looks good at all. Some cars.....maybe. Mark VIII's.....haven't seen one yet that I like. Most of the kits I've seen just make the car look cheaper.

If you saw that wood up close you would probably change your opinion... it looked like :q:q:q:q... made the gen 2 stereo surround look like high quality wood.

if it is applied right, the dark fake wood looks good, the stuff that kid showed above, the light color crap is god awful ugly. i dont mind the dark colored stuff, i wouldnt put it on, but if it was on already i'd leave it.my blue on blue 93 had the light crap, i tore it all out and replaced all the wood covered pieces with stock aquamarine pieces from a guy i found on ebay. the light stuff should be banned.

The Marks weakpoint imo is that the interior has way too much plastic, and doesn't look good.

Look at my 99 Monte's interior, I like the little 'splashes' of it

unity, kustomizing(KID) i was refering to the pic he posted of the dark fake wood. i call him kid for short

I'm gonna call you Jam for short...

Jam eh? That's what i call that stuff you call jelly. :D

Fake stick on wood in Mark VIII's does look hideous though. Im tempted to (one day) paint my peeling rubbery plastics semi gloss black.

Jam and Jelly are VERY different! LOL I only eat grape jam and if I by jelly by mistake I toss it. But where I am from we make wine and jams so I grew up with it :) lol

I think the Gen 2 has a MUCH better interior when it comes to material. Although was it only the LSC or something that got the polished wood in the center?

check out a second gen, they covered all that plastic (dash, rear interior panels ect) in leather....looks alot better IMHO

back in 94-95 I saw a green {I hate green cars) with light colored wood inserts "almost white".
it looked pretty good against the dark green interior.

that was the only instance where the "light wood" looked good IMHO.

I rarely see wood that matches well with a given interior color... Just saw a new Lexus with tan interior and the most hideous orange colored wood accents... puke

I would love to have a Gen 2 with black interior that has ebony wood accents...

Uhh.....isn't it the same wood (gen 2 and C.E.)?

I think it is.

No, that is what I was asking above. The LSC or CE, I dunno, has wood like in a Gen 1, nice and polished. But in the base I am pretty sure it looks fake and it stain in finish.

My car is black on black, i searched a while for that combo. Now that i have it, i'm doing the rest of the car in red accents, the engine bay, calipers, etc. Whatever i paint the theme will be red and black.

With that said, I'll tell you one thing i've wanted to do since i bought the car but i'll wait until i park it and it is no longer my daily driver - Paint or stain the wood trim a nice deep red color.

Something almost like this, but with a little more red in it.

All Gen2 cars (LSC, base or CE) got the same wood on the door panel and around the center stack/shifter bezel as in Lux's pics. The CE's got a wood shifter and steering wheel accents.
