Should it be easy to blow through the air ride dryer? I ask cause I have been geeting the check air ride error. No leaks in the system and the compressor sounds strong and dont run hot. When I removed the dryer though I could barley blow through it and using my shop air it also could barley blow through. I am thinking my dryer is clogged but didnt wanna waste the $50+ for a new one if the compressor itself is bad.

Any thoughts?

I work on big rigs and it is recommended to replace the air dryer or cartridge every year, but some people don't and have problems with water contamination corroding the control valves. You should change the filter every couple of years depending upon your climate. The decassent may be full and giving you a warning to have the system checked.

I just opened up the one off Sapperfires car. There waere a couple seals floating around and the spring was broken in three spots. Could see it was saturated and rusted inside. I guess I will call Eddie tomorrow and see if I can order a new one from him.

Im thinking about doing the same thing Bill. My air system has a bit of moisture in it.

And you should be able to blow through "halfway" easily.

I used a hand vacuum pump to measure how clogged my old drier was, it would actually hold a vacuum attached to the pump side... Just a thought

Why no just open your dryer up laser up and dry it out. Could have water and/or rust.

I am sure it does have water/rust in it. Dont wanna fugg with it as I would want all new seals and media. I just ordered one online for $35 and its new, not rebuilt...... so the ad says anyway.
Should come this week some time and in the mean time I will just run with the system off.
