First off I got the 98 lsc home today 4 hrs in the snow on the way to pick up car is In nice condition new paint 1yr ago etc etc will post pics as soon as I figure how to get them off my iPhone

But right away couple questions car has no speedo and the odometer is reading ------ anyone have any ideas, car shifts properly as well

Ill have more q's but one issue at a time

i had it happen once in my 98 lsc, but it was my fault, i set the ebrake with my foot and as i did my sneaker grabbed a harness above the ebrake mechanism and unplugged it, i couldnt figure out what happend until later on that day i opened the door and kneeled down to look up and see if i hit anything and sure enough i plugged it back in and all was good. it was a large gray connector, try wiggling things around in the dash by the ebrake and see if it changes, rich had the same problem with the red 97 he just sold to ultimatesvt but it wasnt from what happend to my car, i checked it in rich's car and its something else.
 
When you start the car does it display the mileage and then go to dashes? Is the ABS light on? If so, it is the ABS module located in the driver's side fender towards the front. Replace it with the same year as it is year specific.
 
If it turns out to be the cluster I have a perfect one I could sell cheap. Not even any swirl marks on the plastic or dust inside. Its from a 97 LSC but will work fine.

Cheap is good except we use kilometers not miles but I will settle for whatever I can get I'm gonna dive I to deeper

Also what causes the rear neon to work when it feels like it worked when I got home with it and then I went out for a bit a now it's not and previous owner said it picks and chooses when it wants to work also on a plus note both my factory hids work
 
A Glitch ballast. My neon was doing the same thing but the guy I bought the car from had one coming already. When it arrived he just sent it to me.

For a moment there I got all excited!

Dude I'm not touching my car until after I return from the honeymoon, please let me know what you end up doing to solve the issue. Like Jamie said, I have the SAME EXACT problem!

I'M gonna dive into it today and throughout the week and I also plan to check identifix when I get to work tommorow whatever I come up with I'll be sure to share

I also have the blend door issue and I think I have a weak coil on plug....I plan to replace all 8 should I go oem or ???? What do some of you guys have experience with???
