95 LSC big block swap

The 4.6 DOHC's running 8, 7 and even 6 seconds... you just have to know what you are doing and have DEEP pockets...

Seems the best bang for the buck would be a Cobra crank, forged rods, forged pistons and a 96-98 Cobra Novi 2000 and Prochargers new air to water intercooler. Run 26 psi, make close to 1000 rwhp and call it a day.

I see the OPs idea though of having a fresh 460 just sitting there but unless that 460 already has all of the good go fast parts in it then he would be better off modding the mod motor.

the owner of that green mark , his name is aaron, he bought a bunch of ecu harness's off me recently, he has two marks, both are dep jewel green, one is stock the other is the one pictured. he said he can drive it on the road, but the car doesnt drive around well normally, it needs to be driven hard and fast he said. i have his number, but not sure if he would like me giving it out so people call him about his car, i suppose i could ask him if he minded.

I don't think you can hit 1000 rwhp on 26 psi with novi 2000 and the mods you mentioned above.
To make 1000 rwhp with blower you need better than stock B heads.
Maybe set of ported heads with custom cams, probably U have to use C16 race gas and cog drive on the blower.

Nope this Guy lives in Brooklyn and the car now has a Big Block Chevy in it.

Its not the same car trust me. The Guy he is talking about lives in MD. Was selling the car as a roller on Racing Junk before but now the ad is gone.

modular=money any way you slice it.

Exactly. If all you are concerned about is going fast in a straight line and no creature comforts BIG BLOCK!

You can make 500hp with a stock short block 460 and bolt ons. If your savy and and lucky at the swaps and E-bay you can make way more than that for alot less than it will cost you to get it out of a 4.6

I was making 750hp with a stroked 429 and I did for less than 8K

Big Blocks make WAY more torgue with ease, that's whats gonna get you that low 60 foot time

If I were building any make car to just go fast you better believe it would have a chevy motor in it... It takes 2x+ as much money to build anything else...

I agree, must be a go cart. I bet the RX-7 is just as fun since it should be about 100 lbs lighter. Always hated seeing a Chevy V-8 dropped into a RX-7 though. I have been a fan of the tiny and light yet very powerful rotary engines.
My R-1 had a single turbo conversion and big ass intercooler, full exhaust and a piggy back ECU with a knock protector and that little itty bitty 1.3L engine made 498 rwhp. At 2800 lbs it was just insaine off the line as long as you launched at 6000 RPM, didnt have to shift till 9000 RPM :D
