8.8 Trac Lok same for IRS?

Thanks Geno, I knew I could order it but since Summit dont carry it I didnt see a reason to go pay shipping on the stuff when a local synthetic and friction modifier would be less expensive. I would order it if I could use it by itself but you did say if the diff does chatter or whine then I could add some FM. That tells me that sometimes you have had to add some when using the Amsoil and with my luck I would have to as well.

So for gear oil I need 75w90 and I only need one quart?

But as to my other question, if the diff has new bearings and the gears come with the ring bolts/pinion nut/pinion seal/crush sleeve/shims/inner bearing and I am gonna use RTV then I dont need that $90 kit right? I will have everything except the outer pinion bearing and carrier shims, no?

Sorry dude total BS> I have left the clips in EVERY job and they snap in and out just fine man. Thats another old wives tale from somewhere LMAO!

Leave them in ITS FREAKIN FINE MY GAWD!!!

I have personally fought with one on a tbird diff. Unless there is something different about the clips on tbird axles vs MarkVIII axles, I know for a fact that it can get caught. Maybe it doesn't do it all the time, but I know it can happen, and I spent probably a good 2 hours trying to get it out before I gave up and scrapped the whole diff with the axles still attached. When you look at it, it makes sense that it wouldn't come out because the clip will be pulled up against the flat surface of the gear, and without the bevel to squeeze it down, it is larger than the hole it needs to come out of, so I don't see how it would work.
