you'll have to change the tailshaft and the electronic internals but it could be used, its not a direct bolt in.
So then... what I said![]()
If you change out the tailshaft housing you will also have to change out the Output shaft which means you will be full into the transmission.
Stop trying to buck the system, just have the unit you have rebuilt, by time you but that CL tranny, have all the work done to it to make it work, you will have paid more monies than you would have, to have the unit you already have gone through.
Dr. SVO phd
1,500 vs maybe 150 to have someone shorten and weld and balance the shaft!!
It's a no brainer. I'd be all over that trans for that price.
So you know forsure, without a doubt, and abusolutely, positively that the CL transmission is without flaws and doesn't need to be gone through????
OK!
I guess somewhere, someone, failed to mention that this transmission will be backing a 450rwhp blown application, but hey that wouldn't have anything to do with this conversation now would it??????
And this transmission can't handle this why? That's why there are j-mod HP drilling specs. And no, it wouldn't have anything to do with "this" conversation if it was failed to be mentioned.
So I send you the labor bill when it has to come back out???
i don't see why your calling the stock mark 4r70w a pos after a rebuild. After rebuilding/updating it's going to be stronger than that stock crown vic tranny and if he is sticking it behind a high hp motor either one will have to be rebuilt eventually. It's how much money you want to spend at one time.
