20x8.5..42 offset..1.25" lip...255/35/20 tires, 1 tire has a little uneven wear, The rest have plenty of summers left.

I wanted to stay away from 20's but these wheels are growing on me. I saw some 18's fs last week and thought, meh maybe..But these 20's came outa left field and have me thinking. I'd consider the price very nice. Lets just say I could get them for the price of 2 new speedstars w/o tires.

For the record, my rims are junk/don't balance correctly(wobble at certain speeds), require 5mm spacers and the tires have about 1 summer left. So please don't tell me to keep mine instead. They'll be going in the trash If I decide to get these.

My 41mm have good clearance. I just haven't check to see how close they are to any suspension part. it clears the fenders but only have about a finger gap clearance. Stick with 18's

This wheel/tire combo is just a little shorter overall than what I have on there now so height shouldn't be a concern. Still figuring out if it'll clear the susp...

The wheels I have now are 47 offset @8.5" but require a 5mm spacer or I just barely rub the upper spindle at full lock

I think the first pic is a 20", the rest appear to be 18's.

After some more research 255's are really pushing it.

I was doing a bit of searching and found that Icarus was/is running a 255/35 on 20x8.5" wheels. He noted that it was close to rubbing in a few places. Care to chime in Icarus?

Are you still running the 20x8.5 Kapones? What tire did you end up choosing? Lowered?

20x8.5 with a 42 offset gives you a 6.4 inch backspace.
max backspace you can run in the front is 6.5 inches or so.
max in the rear is around 7.5 inches.
that's a pretty tight fit up front.

Whats wrong with 20's on a mark?

My setup is 20x8.5 with 255's in front and 20x10 with 275's in the rear.

For me it would be due to tire sidewall/comfort. 18's are generally better cause you can still have a nice decent sized wheel and put some good meat on em'. If these would fit i'd be willing to travel the hour to look at them. So i've pretty much gathered that it'll be really f'n close up front. Just gotta get motivated to drive now...

I had 20's. Took one out hitting one hell of a pothole during a Beach Party even. But other than that, they were not bad at all. Anyone who rode inside thought the ride was normal and not harsh at all. I have some old threads that went into detail. I will see if I can find the thread with tire and rim sizes. I had no issues with rubbing, etc. But my tire diameter meant I made up for the rim size anyway, so it should have not been an issue.

Ok. Tires all around were: 225/35/20

And rim width was: 8.5" with 40mm offset.

Thanks. I had 225/35's on my 19's and they looked funny on such a wide rim and had issues with bends aswell. No problems since I put the 235/45's on. Yours looked great though.

I really like those wheels! I think you should do it, if you wont have any clearance issues. They really look good on the Jags, I want to see them on a Mark, haha.

lol, I can get them for 400 so it's at the point were it's worth a shot.. Checkin them out 2maro. Just hope they fit...

My brain is still fighting back n forth about them though.

weren't those the same ones i looked at last week or were they 19's? the image of them looks better than the picture with the rubber on them, i still like the ones you have already, though you said they're on the way out, the image looks fine polished and the oneson the jag look duller, maybe its just me.

The ones last week were 18's. The first pic on the jag had a silver center but it was the only pic I could find for the 20's.

Wheels aren't bad. I could do without the ribbits though..

:)

I'm running 245/30/20. Ill have to go look at what brand its a cheapo brand tire.

And with the rims being the only change it managed to keep your car out of the running for the calander this year. :p

After way too much thinking I've decided not to get them. I think it's still a good deal but I can't justify spending the money going the opposite direction I want to reguarding size.. I'll run the 19's for another summer then stick with the stockers unless a good deal comes up on 18's and good meat.

You see my car? Search da bamf I have twenties and enough clearance. I had even more with sure. Still about what like 1/2 an inch I think.

How would those wheels with just infer big piece of chrome on our cars look? saw them at the to of this page and a couple of times out in town.
