1994 MarkVIII OBD1 TO OBD2 swap

or you could have 2 different ignition switches...or a nitrous switch....or a switch for your undercar neons!!

ECU will not work without immo, also you will need the fuel pump driver module, IMRC driver module, all components of electric air management, rewiring of transmission, '97 MLPS, VLCM, ABS...
The driver's door module & seat control are the less of the problems.
All the electric in '96-98 is the complete system, works only together, not as in '93-95...

If you have seen some of Mike's past work you will see why he is the person to pull it off;)

I can tell that you still haven't actually looked up my cars info. I do know that the vclm needs to be there, but I have no use for anything else.

But to be perfectly honest the PCM ultimatley conrols everything including fuel pump and radiator fan, which could be made to work on a relay system.

This is a non issue because I am either going to swap the whole harness or just swap the damned car out.

yes that would be awesome

or better yet, a push button out of a new ford product, keep the rice in japan.

Gluttons for punishment.:D

I don't even like OBD2. I can read all my OBD1 codes with a peice of wire.

Of course, I don't need the advanced programming of OBD2 as my cars are stock.

A push button starter? Would that be with one of those cards you carry in your wallet? I can only imagine in 10 or 15 years when these systems fail, the modules will be obsolete, and you won't even be able to start your car.

Even the GEN 2 PATS key is getting hard to find now.

I guess I'm just old but, I like the old key switch going directly to the starter solenoid. Easy to troubleshoot and fix, even though they hardly ever fail.:)

he wants to keep the gen one column with the gen 2 dash which means that his key would go in the column and something would need to go in the dash where the gen 2 key fits....hence the push button idea by kk

Oh, OK.

I'd use the extra space for something else, like maybe a module 8 control or something like that.

good god man! have fun
