I'm not sure what you mean by CEL codes. Lean bank 1 and lean bank 2 codes were some of the codes I got last year though, My dad & I tried changing an intake manifold gasket once on my second Gen 1 I had back in 2001 and the car ran worse when we put it back together So I'm a little nervous...

Can one person put the intake manifold gaskets w/o an extra set of hands? Do the bolts have to be torqued down? How long does it take? And what do you clean the imrc's with?

Intake manifold leak? Last year the dealer told me it was the imrc & Eddie finally concluded to that also after looking at several times, what do you think I should do?

Ooops, my bad!!! My bad you guys, I spoke w/Kracker a week ago & he corrected me about the price, he said the tires are $79 each, I guess I was dreaming about tires that cheap @ $200/set.

The Mark VIII I'm having trouble with is my 98LSC, my '94 has its issues too but nothing like this. I changed the MAF last month & the car ran a little better. I'll hook up w/Kracker as soon as he responds to my email. My email address is lincolnmarkix@yahoo.com.

The codes have been cleared once by Autozone & then again by the dealer but the check engine light keeps coming back on. The codes say that banks 1& 2 are running lean. There was also another code that came up that the Autozone manager wasn't familiar with which referred to the fuel metering system.
