Has anyone heard of a 98 mk8 that wont start because remote was dropped/damaged? I have heard of other cars that wont start because the remote isn't communicating with vehicle but is this true on a 98? Any help will be appreciated.

Hi, trying to hook up an aftermarket radio, but I want to keep the factory amp and speakers in, which harness do I need to buy. I called one radio shop and they said its $80 for an integration wire harness, that sounds like a lot.
