    93 Mark VIII in trouble

I've had this car less that three years. Still haven't got it home yet, the divorce thing is slowing me down. Didn't want to get it fixed to quick or she may have wanted it. But should have it this weekend. Also, don't have internest access at home, have to go to the library, not a bad...

    93 Mark VIII in trouble

Have to pick my Mark 8 from the shop tonite. Mechanic says not worth fixing, but I have a few Chevy guys that are willing to help a Lincoln guy out. I think I may need a new motor. The Chevy guys seem to think I through the timing chain. My Lincoln just stopped running and the way home, no...

    Cascade Dish Washing Cleaner

Has anyone ever heard of using Cascade in your radiator? A former truck driver told me that he has used it for years. He says he has never had to flush his radiator because of this. He just drains them and then puts some Cascade back in them. He didn't tell me how much he put in though. I...

    Fuel Filter Removal

Thanks Calabrio, I did not mess up the line. Just put the old filter back on (for the third time) and will go to the Ford Dealers Monday to get this part. This is why I'm on this forumn and will soon (very soon) apply for Gold Member Status. Again thanks, I thought I might be just doing...

    Autolite 764 Sparks Plugs

I'm sticking with ONEBADMARK8. I'm not due for wires yet, but when I change plugs I'm going to use the Autolites 764's gapped at .048. By the way due the Nogoly wires still have lifetime warranties?

    Royal Purple vs Mobil 1

We had an oil analysis class, and the instructor told us that synthetic oils molecules are the same size, that's why the sythetic oil leaks through your old seal. If you have a new car or a car with new seals it's good to use synthetic oil and stay with synthetic otherwise use conventional oil...

Finally, got around to taking out the resonator (did the silencer long ago) and drilling the air box. Didn't have the clip to do the fuel filter, that will be tomorrow. Just got back from a test drive, sounded a little different. Was expecting more considering the wrestling I had to do. But...

    Autolite 764 Sparks Plugs

Are the Autolites better than anyother spark plugs? What about the Motorcraft or the Nogoly plugs? Going to order the Nogoly wire real soon, just want to get the best plugs, if I'm going to pay that kind of money for the wires, you know.

    Low on all 4's

Okay I'm back. Ran the car up a set of long ramps to get on a set of car ramps, then tried to jack up the car (with the air ride suspension on) but the tires would not come off the ramp. Is this a good sign or bad. Got dark, so I'll try with the air ride suspension off in the morning.

    How many pounds? LOL

A/C just started blowing cool air, and seems to be getting warmer. I can handle the heat, but would like to recharge anyway. How many pounds or cans does a 1993 Mark VIII take? And can I use those ones with the gauge already on them? Like at Autozone for $24.99?

    K&N Oil Filter

Didn't know that about the timing chain tensioners, learn something everyday like I'm supposed to. Will try Mobil 5000 next oil change.

    K&N Oil Filter

Just installed the K&N Oil Filter HP-2010 in my 1993 Lincoln Mark VIII. Suprise, no ticking on start-up just like to box claims. Granted I only started the car three times, but that's 3 less ticking sounds than usual. I'll keep you posted. By the way the filter cost $12.00 here in Kansas.
