I have a 2004 LS V8 the transmission has been rebuilt twice now. The transmission shop says it is shifting to hard and breaking internal parts. They have suggested that the computer that controls the shifting has a problem. Even after both rebuilds it would shift like it had a old fashion shift...

The pump locked up and broke the input shaft inside the transmission. It has over 200,000 miles on it so I figured a full rebuild is needed

Hello all. I've recently dropped off my transmission to get rebuilt and they asked for the code it was giving. I totally forgotten it. It is the main one that comes up and gives the hard shifts I'm thinking it's 1703 but I'm not sure. Does anyone have a idea of the code I'm talking about? If so...

I got it. Thanks for all your help everyone. It broke the input shaft for the torque converter. Nothing like 40yrs ago with my last transmission job was a old C4. Once again thank you all for your help and God Bless

Ok , I got all Bell Housing bolts out and only 4 for the torque converter, and all the cables and wires detached. I know it's hard to separate the 2 but damn it's all aluminum so I can't hit it hard. Any suggestions for me? I need to get that transmission out today and separating the two is all...

Found cut wire. I guess when I put VC back on. Code doesn't seem to come up at start up. Taking for test drive. Thanks Joe

I'm getting code p0340 after replacing VC gaskets. I have read in post that the sensors on top of the VC is for the VVT. If so where is the camshaft position sensor located? Those sensors on top of the VC is the only sensors I can see anywhere near the camshaft's. Thanks for any help and I pray...

Greetings fellow LS owners. I have had the dreaded transmission shift problems like others. Is there any other transmission that will mount up and work with the computer. Maybe even any manual units that could work. I thank you all.

It is the main fuel line that goes to the rail. My 04 dies the same thing. Not all the time but when it does it gives the same smell like yours. Next time , open hood , turn key on and check the line. Also look at the valve cover. If it's a fuel leak the cover will be very shiny under the fuel...

My blower motor is stuck in the high position. When you try to turn it off , you hear the vent doors close but fan motor still runs in high. It will only stop if you turn off key then even then it takes 5 seconds to completely shut off. I was thinking it could be the blower motor speed control...

Your probably right. When driven on hwy and you open it up the power level increase is amazing but during city driving and when you just barely use pedal that's when it goes through its loop. I'll give the other a try , but man the power
