Cleared the codes, got me a new code reader, replaced the IAT, and now I get code 124.
TPS voltage out of normal. I have suspected the tps ever since I changed it, however I did not think it could cause a miss except at idle. Am I wrong!
I thought bad plugs at first, so I replaced them again. No improvement. The dpfe is a bear to get at, right? I assume that it is on the back of the engine, driver's side.
It is making me crazy! Here is want I have done:
Plugs
IAC
TPS
The car has a miss but it changes. It varies from a studder to a dead miss. Pulled the codes yesterday and I have 3.
335
113
189
I see that one is for the egr sensor and one is for the egr valve. Could these cause this issue.
Any...
Track down the damn miss that is driving me crazy!
Then: Replace drivers seat track
Fix the Code 35 on the air bag system
Replace sun roof weatherstrip
I vote alternator too. They can do some crazy stuff on Lincolns. When the one on my 93 went out, just the battery light would flash, but the one on my Town Car raised hell with everything. Every warning light on the dash came on and it lit up like a Xmas tree.
Where can you get a replacement soft vacuum tee that comes off the throttle body? I don't think mine is leaking, but it looks like it will fall apart if you touch it (cracked everywhere).
I hear ya, Terry. We have had ice and snow on the ground since last Thursday. Yesterday was the first day of sunshine and temps up to near 32.
Crazy for the south this early.
Yeah, I my have a bad plug. I just changed the plugs, so I guess I need to pull them and see if I can find the bad one.
The code is 215:
Primary circuit failure – ignition coil 1 – Ignition Systems
Which coil is coil pack #1? I am getting a code on the 93 that says misfire on #1 coil.
Also getting 172 and 176, which I believe are front and rear O2 sensors lean. Time to replace the O2 sensors I guess.
