Yeah the pics geno posted looks like the car. Same set up no back seats huge tubes. If this car is from the eastern shore I bet its the one from salisbury. It may at one time had 40k in it but its not even close to that now. Hell it doesn't even come with wheels may not even have a steering...
Living here in salisbury(eastern shore of maryland) and racing at the local track the only back half mark I know of had a bbc and tubbed. It was also dark green. Never ever heard of or seen a back half 4.6 mark. I maybe wrong but I heard a lot about it at the track trust me. I think I know...
Yeah that's a lot for what it is. That car is a few miles from me at a shop. I've heard he ran it at my local track but never saw it run. Had a bbc engine at one time rumor has it would run 9s? I looked it over a few years back it looked like a 9 second car that's for sure. Stripped out...
if the leak of coolant its that much the smoke and plug will smell like fuel and see the two liquids beeding on the plug. if hes got enough coolant to see floating in the ctlinders then i'm guessing that motors not going to turn over. That motors done..
I agree check the easy stuff. Plugs. Oil coolant at cross over, look for leaks. If its smoking you will know it. Mine was all good and quickly while normal driving smoke started and started to loose power. But still run and made it home. The funny thing is I was driving to refill the bottle...
Did you notice white smoke from the tail pipes. What about the plugs have they all been checked for coolant. When my head gasket went it smoked real bad white. However the car would run and drive. It also warped the head. I think my issue was stretched head bolts more than gasket failure.NOS
That's a tall order if you are looking to tig weld right over the glue. Mark all pieces in a few spots so when the glue or epoxy is removed it can be located for welding. If there is a special glue that can be welded in with the metal I would like to know as well. Almost like a flux adhesive.
I'm no pro at this but a fast set epoxy would hold it together. Also should be easy to take back apart and scrap off. The metal would still need to be cleaned well. Jb well imo would hold way to much when its time to remove. Good luck
I don't think anyone was bashing you. Like said above its hard to get a bolt on street use mark to run 13s consistantly. Now your also talking about a gen 2. I have no experince with gen 1s but from what I've read here. Mine is one of the faster gen 2s with only bolt ons. Runs high 13-low...
the factory mounting should have some adjustment in it. if your only looking for an inch you most likely wont have to redrill the location. its been a while since ive played around with my sensors. maybe a 1/4" upper
If that motor and trans is solid with the mods you already listed plus 3000 converter should be high 13s. On a good cool day if she hooks. If you haven't replaced the fuel pump I would due that and the filter.
Add a good converter to your current mods. That should be good for high to mid 13s. You will also need some good tires depending on the track prep. What your car run now, it should be close to 13s now. Nos will get you 12s tho.
