Wish I coulda found him in the lanes but his car was sittin there locked up so? That and see if there was anything done to it since I pulled a 15.3 the first time I ran. Sept I had 4:10's so :rolleyes:
 
There's no way you should have ran a 15.3 with 4.10 gears... were you spinning badly off the line? The slowest I've ever been is a stock 96 Mark VIII which ran 14.93 at 95.79 MPH bone stock with a 2.2 60 foot.

Stopped racing it when it would only run 16.7's. Only had it to the track 3 times and the trans was just loosing it's grip on life way to fast :(
 
How slow was he running? I can't see the times in the vids.
 
his name is jim he belongs to the mark 8 of the state of ny car club.i believe his car is completely stock.

Not much time to cool it down between runs. The lines were short, and we were encouraged to line back up quickly because they would close early.

The car is *completely* stock, save for glasspacks in place of the factory mufflers (attached to the factory tips), and a K&N panel filter.

Tad! We've met before, it's Brian. I saw a pearl Gen 2 in the parking lot that day, but had to run to the staging lanes. Didn't see it again.

That's so cool, thanks for posting the vids!!! :D (yes, I've lurking since I've wanted to buy a Mark VIII, it only took me 3 years to finally buy one.)

Hey Scott, that's right. Car is bone stock save for glasspacks in place of the factory mufflers (welded onto the factory tips), and a K&N panel filter. Last name: James, so nickname on the "other" board is Jim. LOL
 
Yeah I was kinda thinking I knew ya but every time I saw your car in the staging lanes it was locked up and I had to film the Forester I was there with.

My guy got the Forester to go 11.7@116.9 with the stock turbo before the season closed and broke an axle :shifty:

Well I switched to Gen2 and haven't run it yet as I sold my helmet and didn't feel like renting one this year to make a run. I will have a Shoei for next year cause I want a base line run before I do any mods to it
