Oh, I just remembered. ;)
In 2001 the Lincoln LS had significantly less performance than the numbers above:
2001 Lincoln LS8
252hp DOHC V8
0-60: 8.8
1/4 mile: 16.6 @ 82.0mph
60-0: 142ft.
Slalom: 59.1mph
If you're looking for cars in that year and price range you would do better with...
The shocks are different in the Base and Sport version CTS.
The Sport version is much stiffer and feels much more stable at high speeds. It uses a Nivomat self-leveling shock in the rear for load leveling too. From what I have read, there isn't a problem with lowering the car using the stock...
Here they are:
Grille, upper: 21996486
(Wire Mesh Grill)
Grille, lower: 25750638
(wire mesh grill; must install front fascia/bumper cover to fit)
...and the upper fits perfectly. To install the lower, you need to swap the front bumper cover and hardware for the V version...
I would much rather have a V too. :D
But upgrading the CTS I have is much cheaper than trading up at the moment (that and I want to see the STS-V before buying a new car).
Welcome to the dark side.
The 2008 DeVille will be on the Sigma platform (meaning it will have RWD and AWD). Rumors even have it being based off the Sixteen concept.
Wait, there is hope for you yet. I found this posted on the forums at www.caddyedge.com :
Also, wasn't RSM going to become a sponsoring vendor here at LVC?
Lingenfelter is talking about releasing a twin turbo system for the CTS-V.
600-700hp from the LS6? They say it fits under the hood and is undetectable from stock unless you're at WOT.
Early pic:
I have posted information about the 751hp Mallett car from the SuperCar ShootOut on the performance forum:
