New pics. Over cast day the paint just flops. Sunny day really brings out the pearl.

Pictures of the pinstriping I did to cover up the chrome window trim. Took me about 90 minutes in my driveway. 40ft roll of 1/2 inch gloss black pinstriping $20. Few area I am thinking about redoing. I feel I could have done a better job. Right now I seeing how it holds up.

You know what that may be a major contributing factor in why I dislike first gens after seeing these pictures. that really looks great makes the side profile flow much better! That combined with the freshly painted front and rear bumper inserts makes the car look so much better!

Looks good! That is on my list of things to do. I may try it in plastidip before I commit to permanent paint.

Its just striping. If I want to, I can peel it right off.

If you just want to experiment with the look, take electrical tape and tape over it. Leave it like that for few days. See if you like it or not. If you don't, peel it off. No harm, no foul.

I saw Hite's in person (he did the same with his windows) and i really liked it, just wasn't sure if i'd like it on mine... This settles it, It'll be done soon!!!!

I ordered something similar when i redid the stipes on my Boat... What company/ strip did you use?

Looking good. I wonder if I could find some silver plastidip and do mine. hmmmm

Where did you get the striping from? I know you said it was only $20. Was it an ebay special :D

Friend of mine owns his own car accessory shop. He does pinstriping for a bunch of dealerships in the area. I called him yesterday morning. He measured off 40ft for me. I picked it up yesterday afternoon. There you go. No sure what brand.

3rd pic. Always my favorite side view of the stance of an LS. The blackout suits your car well.

Looks great! Makes me wanna do the mod too! I think it would look pretty good with the white car if I can get the surrounds painted

Nice work man, lookin' great! I gotta admit that the only Gen I that looks right with the chrome around the windows is the LSX.

Just when I thought that LS couldn't look any better.....nice job Rollin.

The stuff I used was $17.50 shipped. 50' was enuf to do both windows top and bottom on my 02 LSE and both bottom strips on my 00 LS. http://www.ebay.com/itm/1-2-X-50-Black-Single-Pin-Stripe-Striping-Tape-/130560095451?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&vxp=mtr&hash=item1e65fcf4db

Sorry G-RELL , I was supposed to send you that link awhile back but it slipped my mind.

Not a problem buddy... It was still on my " to do" list...
