BAD97LSC: I something on the pic with the cowl hood scoop. Perhaps you should sand down the hood with fine paper (water ones ofc, just don't know the name of it). and pay someone to repaint it. Looks very matte and quickly done. With a real paint on it the whole hood will look tons more serious and the paint matching will be better and overall look of car will be better!
Not complaining though! Just telling you my thought.

Btw, great ride keeping the best rims ever on I've got a set of those too although not even close to be in the same shape as yours.

Well, I read carefully... thread doesn't specifically state Mark VIII, it says car, well, my truck is one of my favorite projects... Sweet before & after pics:

Yeah, back in 2007 I started falling out of love with it. I had owned it for 6 years, done paying it for a full 2 years, it had 87k on the odometer & I was really looking forward to either a 2004 Navi or a 2003 HD F-150 but I wasnt looking forward to financing again. Thats when I came up with the idea of spending some cash on the very truck I used to love. Motor & tranny was perfect so I knew all I needed was a reason to fall in love with it all over again. Needless to say it worked. It wasn't until recently after being married that I have contemplated trading it for an SUV because of my wife but the hell with that. It currently has 118,300 miles, motor & tranny are still perfect & it NEVER quits. I had an e-brake issue last week & that's the first time it "broke down" on me. Fixed the e-brake issue & that's it, other than that it's synthetic oil change every 3,500 miles & mid grade fuel. That's it!
