Is there any way to gently open the trunk lid with out the key, battery terminals, and without damaging the trunk lid or neon? I was thinking of going through the back seat to try to pop it that way but there I'd no way my fat ass will fit through the hole to do so. Is it possible to jump the fuse at the panel to activate the trunk actuator and use the button on the door? I'm pulling a neon out of a parts car that hS no battery cables or a key.

what about jumper cables, negative to frame, positive to alternator terminal.
open door, push trunk button.

You can either tear into the harness and find the wires you need. Apply b+ to the wire with b- attached to the body.

Or get a memory saver that plugs into the obd2 port for when you change a battery.

Chris you are right no battery he has even pulled the battery cables to be used on something else. I was thinking of trying that but then I saw there were no cables there is the fuse box under the hood I'm going to try to do that to but I don't know if that will work.

as long as the alt to power distribution box wire is still there, that should work.
if not, you can try going straight to the lug on the back of the distribution box.

Ive been able to use keys from other marks... worth a try but if its a parts car and you don't care about the trunk - drill/saw/weld thru a hole in it the top to avoid the neon.

this thread is all about getting the trunk open!!!!
reading > you.

he was talking about an unknown door code, i told him where it was. it was ironic because he can't, at the time, get into the trunk.

comprehension skillz>you

Not true its also on the ddm and also in one other place I can't remember

Key is missing . Where's the key FOB?

In this case, it doesn't matter. The car has no battery, and from what I understand, no battery cables. Therefore, any use of any opening method that requires some sort of power to the vehicle, which would be supplied from the vehicles battery, is not going to work.

like terry said all you need is a 12 volt battery, christ even a cordless drill batter and 2 wires, pull the trunk button out of the door panel, attach wires, doesnt matter pos or neg polarity dont matter, and push the trunk button. its as simple as :q:q:q:qting your pants.

Hmm, yea you would know all about how simple that is....

Anyway, I'm not really sure why people keep saying to just use the keypad or the fob.... Doesn't anyone read anymore? :shifty:
