Best Leather condition

used a bottle of the turtle wax stuff but not overly impressed, wondering if im doing it wrong, try the armorall next time or just keep my nose to it reapplying the tw.
 
Meguiars is good stuff. Right now I am testing out something new to me. Its called Aerospace 303. http://www.303products.com/

What I like about it is that its not annoyingly wet looking like Armor-all. And unlike armor-all, the shine seems to last a long time, no die off in a couple days making one want to apply more.

So for the dash it was awesome. Two applications back to back did great. Then I tried it on the leather and was impressed.

So if your looking for an all-around product, its great but expensive. But I guess ideally one should use specific products for leather. Good old leather soap might be best.
 
maybe i should rephrase this, what product gives the "juicey" look back to leather if you know what i mean,

my seats have been hit pretty hard, it already has cracks. i know it wont sew the leather back together but will make it supple looking again
 
ooo this looks good,

i have some "neats feet oil" for saddles and tack stuff, my try it on a small area to seewhat it does. i think its just for non sealed leather though
 
the stuff I posted will actully pull the dirt up out of the pors and get it clean. Once that step it done then the oil makes it feel new again
 
They say Lexol is good, I bought some at K-mart used it on just the drivers seat and it does feel and look better then the Meguiars, 3m and a few other name brands I also have.
 
lexol is good and it was the best at one time but leatherique is better
 
i've got the leatherique kit and it's impressive. I use it on my f250 to the car to my sons baseball glove. Works really well.
 
I used Lexol in all my cars, never was impressed with the result but stayed on the bandwagon nevertheless. I read somewhere, irreputable ofcourse, that Lexol was really a bad idea. I didn't put much into the opinion, but it got me thinking though.

I'm going to try something new and go Leatherique when I finish putting things into order on the car this Fall. I hear multiple back-to-back treatments with Leatherique is a good way to remove a little age from older leather that is still pretty well intact. I also heard that used as such, it is a great wallet lightener (dual-purpose).
 
I tried Lexol for the first time. Guess things look okay. Only time can really tell. The leather in my car was already pretty soft so I did not see any change with one session.
 
Whats the best to get locally? Im going to goto a boot store tomorrow and ask them what they recommend. My leather is in bad shape.
 
I also got some Lexol conditioner a few days ago, and put it on a few times already. I'm happy with what I'm starting to see, but my drivers seat is already pretty worn. Maybe with some time I'll be able to tell on the pass and rear seats....
 
I use mcguires, but I don't really like it, never seems to last long..

Where do you get leatherique?

I wouldn't use Armorall on ANYTHING...it dries stuff out..I personally don't think any of their products are usable, even if it was free I wouldn't use it
 
I always used Meguires leather conditioner. About every 3-4 months I would use the liquid and let it soak in before buffing it off. Then every 3-4 washes I would use the Meguires leather wipes. My leather was always soft and smooth and the car always had that leather smell even though I smoked in the car.
 
Whoever owned my car befor me put some cheap leather dye on the front seats, what can I use to get it off, I know 80% alcohol will remove it but i don't know if it will damage the seats. What can I use?
 
I talked to a guy who used to be the interior guy a a ford dealer, he looked at my seats and said acetone-free nail polish remover followed by a warm cloth followed by leather conditioner. I'll try it this weekend and let you know how it works out.
 
Hmm. Yea, be sure to get back. I'd like to know how that ends up working out. What purpose does the nail polish remover serve? To remove surface dirt and crap?
