Yes the point of it is to remove the dye,the previous owner only did the very front of the driver and front passenger seat, I will try to post some befor and after pics this weekend. I already tired a small spot on 1 seat and it looks promising. I'm just glad they didn't all the seats.
Well I used the polish remover and it works but make sure no cracks in the leather, and don't scrub just wipe with the polish then clean with a wet cloth, then dry with a towel. Make sure not to spend too much time in 1 spot or you will strip the original finish. This is not for everyone and it takes time, be patient and careful.
I'm pretty sure the leather in our cars is sealed so most products won't do a whole lot to them anyways. You need to let them soak in for a good while to help...
