Pictures as requested of my beater.

Oh yea I know how capable they are. I was just guessing based of the info you gave. We have a 2004 E55 so I have seen plenty of comparison tests. The Audis can be built into beast cheaper than the benz.

When they came out in 2003 I was in lust but at 90K knew I could never afford one. Then helping another friend out locate an APR chip for one I discovered how cheap they have gotten since the new V10 version came out. Realized for the cost of a Mark and the mods to get a Mark to 200mph and hit 60 under 4 seconds I could have a car that could do it much better. Hope to find a nice one when I get my shop started. :)

I used to have a '94 Bonneville with the same engine, was a great car. We put over 400k+ on it. My step brother borrowed it and had the front taken off by a truck (insurance fixed it for some reason,) then my dad got t-boned a couple years later and thats what finished it off. Still ran great though, lol...

Yea, I was just looking at the 07+ audi s8's I was on youtube listening to them with exhaust and wow! They sound bad a$$:D

Oh lordy...

The Audi RS6 is a beast of a car... but put about 6-8k in a bank account if you are going to mod it man.

The trans will blow up, its not a question of if but when.

But they are incredible cars, linear and stable at every speed. I've driven a few and I gotta say they are beasts of a totally different nature!

I was actually looking at the new S6 but I don't know enough about the engine to be sure... :)

Just sold the Regal. Trans was doing stuff that made me nervous.

Dunno. Gonna go look at some cars tomorrow. Prolly a SHO if its a runner.

SHO all the way. Shoforum.com is the best forum community that I have ever been a part of. Good luck broseph.

A friend of mine had an SHO, then a Park Ave Ultra, now a Mark... you're going backwards Laser! Here's hoping if you get an SHO that it's less of a pile than my friends was.

x2...

Imho, givin' your situation the last thing i'd want to buy is a sho. Look into cavaliers, carolla's and civic's.:shifty:

Personally, and this is just me, I'd get a late 80's or early 90's Mustang with the 2.3L and 5-speed. I had an '87 2.3/5-speed hatch with T-Tops that got 30+ mpg all the time. No power, but handled great. And at least it's American and Rear-Wheel-Drive. I put '88 T-Bird Turbo Coupe electronic adjustable shocks and struts, f/r sway bars, front brakes, and 3.55:1 disc brake rear end and 16" TC snowflake wheels with P245/50R16 tires onto that car and it handled like a race car! Also ran a stock tubular header from a '79 Mustang, open element air filter, and TC-style split dual exhaust. Anyway, it was a fun little car and got great gas mileage. I'd love to have another one like it. But they're getting harder to find in good condition.

Agreed.

But why go with a fwd ecobox? I say why not a Crown Vic/Grand Marquis? Or even a Town Car? 4.6 SOHC V8 Is wonderful, i have seen them here in Chicago do 400k-600k miles easy with all the livery services and cabs around here. Panthers are known as the warriors of city roads for a reason around here!;):D You can pick them up for cheap to, especially any 90's to early 00"s no matter which model. Parts are easy to find to.

Thought mark owners hate sedans?

Might as well get another mark or an ls if going back to a Lincoln.

Towncars are nice but theyre like big boats.

But five times less likely to break down like the LS, Continental, and the Marks. The parts are still available for them too.:D

I am fixing this or That on my TC but no where near as often As the former Conti or the LS.

I love the 2000 LS we have, my continental was nice too. Marks are sweet.
But between my Conti, the LS and my TC. the TC is the best affordable bang for the buck if you want a Lincoln that is easy to find parts for.

Besides their like driving a livingroom around.:D:L Make that smiley a plural. "Lincoln's":)
