My New 0-60 Bone Stock

That is really fast. You are right at 6 seconds it seems. Nice.

he edited the video, sped the video up, left the clock at normal time, its really like 12 seconds

And stock? Seems the ECU is not what that car came with? :D

No chip, I got to call it stock. :shifty:

Not to mention 3 cats and a resonator restricting the hell out of me. Like I said before in the last video. I'm not really out here trying to race anyone but it is nice to know what it'll do as it is.

i know what it will do stock, it will throw a rocker arm if you make too many more high rpm runs lmfao!!! :)

That's why from now on, I'm gonna "grandpa" it around. I got one ticket on the way back from Florida in October, I don't need anymore of those. That video above was in a 40mph zone. I was at 70. That would have been a nice one if I would have been caught.

I ain't gonna throw a damn rocker arm....

I took the extra 150 to 200 pounds of system out of the trunk and tried again but I'm pretty much stuck at 6 second 0-60's and after it hits 2nd, it's on. That W3Z2 computer really helped out a lot.

I'll be doing the J-Mod in the next week or so to get a better fluid flow and firmer 2nd gear. After that, I'm not doing anything else to it. Not now anyway.

add some extra amps/speakers to what you already have to make it more of a race when you go up against that gen 2.

I got everything back in temporarily. I'm going to re-carpet the entire bottom (add more weight) and put a piece of oak in under the carpet, 12" front to back and about 3 foot long and 5/8's thick (adding more weight) to mount the amps down on. That spare tire cover is just too flimsy. I'll either put the board under the carpet or carpet the board. It'll just give me more traction. :)

Why don't you just pull out the spare tire cover and trace out on some heavier board and recarpet it with the same material, then put it in, only way it is not stock cover is the raise area around the lip from thickness.

Because, finding an exact match to that carpet ain't very easy and I want the amps raised mounted and I don't want the cover cracks showing at all. Want it to look solid on the bottom. Jamie cut out two sections that go together and went that route. I thought about that but with what I'm doing, the cover will still be able to be raised and spare removable.

I was at Advance Auto to buy wax this past weekend and they had replacement carpet by the roll and it damn near looked close or perfect for that, if it is charcoal gray as mine. But I agree, I would want the best look and clean too as possible.

A buddy of mine has his amps mounted upside down where the stock amp tray is. He made it from fab wood(whatever you make stereo enclosures from) and used 1/2" steel piping and cut 4 or 5" pieces for legs at each corner and 2 in the middle for added support, then ran same length bolts thru the rear speaker tray thru the pipe legs thru the wood and used nuts on the bottom. Looked awesome and was completely out of the way and no one knew they were there until they looked under to see them. If you can picture this and what I am trying to say.

Here is what I am trying to say....It is by using paint but hopefully you get the jest of it. The red area is the board adn metal legs, yellow is the amps.

Bill, even if I wanted to hide my amps up there, I would have no room at all. My speaker box goes from the bottom to the top. The factory cardboard thing even had to come out but it was coming out anyway. It was going to be preventing a lot of sound from getting into the cabin from the three 10's

Maybe this will explain it a little better. The first pic is the amps that I put back in there. Sold the sub amp I had. Too powerful for the three 10's and the other matching 4 channel amp is being traded for some Octastars. :)

Now, where you see the amps setting right now, there will be a piece of oak 12" X 5/8" X ? for the amps to mount very flat and not be setting on a sagging spare tire cover. The wires on the far right will also be hidden under another bridge just like I have in between the two amps I have mounted in there now. I have the second bridge but didn't put it in today.

Next pic is of the new carpet that I have (not cut to fit just yet) that I want to cover the complete bottom with and the board that I'm going to add so that the amps are raised and mounted solid with no sag. Board will be bolted in on both sides and then amps mounted to the board. When I get done with it, you'll see what I was going for. Will probably get another roll to do the box to match.

Looks nice! That neon strip you have in there now, is it switch activated or is it attached to a pressure switch so when you pop the trunk the switch opens and turns it on like a door switch? Door switch would be nice to come on by itself.

The bulb was removed and I connected the 60 LED to that so when I open the trunk, the strip comes on automatically. Strip came with 3M adhesive and is hidden up inside to the metal. It lights up the whole trunk in the dark pretty good.

Yeah I think the blue goes well with the white and since you have it hooked up on a switch to turn on when trunk is popped makes for a more efficient setup power wise and is trick in my opinion, but I am an old goat out of the trick scene too. If it were mine I would think I was ahead of the other teensters until I would show it off, then some young punk would deflate my pride and say that is ole school grandpa. Lil BASTARDS they are.

If I'm ever in a Wal-Mart or the like parking lot and I open the trunk to put something in there, people walking by will always stop and ask questions lol. I had it in the black 94 too. Had about 96 blue LED's in that one and it was bright. I don't open it very often but it does catch the eye at night.
