Back in the game. My LSE thread

They didn't have the LEDs when I got mine only CCFL and I didn't want those. And ya I have the bumper lenses they are not smoked tho just clear

do you have a pic? yea after reading about all the issues with the ccfl i was glad to purchase these

I'm on my phone so I can't post them but in the " post a pic o your car as is" thread there is

Nice! still not sure on wich to go with the smoked have a black outline in them

The smoked ones are a touch darker as well as having the black outline. Not much darker though.

I say go for the clear, it kind of goes with the fogs.

Got my intake installed today. I only drove it for a couple minutes but it sounds pretty bada$s. I'm going to upgrade the piping for sure just paint it black so its not to aftermarket looking.

Heres a couple pictures.

I really like how the clear look on the silver actually that looks nice!

Ya me too.

It blends in better imo.. Like for mine now (midnight grey metallic), I would do the tinted/smoked ones

I does blend good, It looks so much better that the amber too. I agree you should get the smoked especially if your tinting the signals.

Yeah I could use any 3" coupler up to it. I have access to plenty of 3" intake piping but I want to make it look as perfect as possible for the vacuum hook up. I know spectre makes an universal vacuum pipe adapter but I'd like to keep the couplers to a minimum.

That intake looks great! Could you link the MAF adapter you ended up using?

You could always buy aluminum tubing off of eBay (pretty cheap) and then just take it to a shop and have it TIGed up.. That's what I'm going to do for the SC setup

^ Probably what I'll do for the vacuum port. I already have alot of intake piping laying around. Just going to get it powder-coated black.

And as far as having a shroud no it does not have a shroud for it just yet. Its actually a part from Spectre and it cost about $16. Its about -2 here right now so I'm not to concerned about heatsoak until the summer. I saw someone made a custom shroud on here I'll do something similar to that design. Or run the piping behind the front bumper.

And heat soak from the filter really doesn't mean much anyways when its passing through some hot ass plastic intake components on its way to the tb. Many tests have been done and generally the heatsoak created from the piping far surpasses the heat pulled from the filter.

Yeah not to concerned with that until the summer at this point. Just happy it went together perfectly and so far seems to be running great. Now it'll just be a fun weekend project messing around with intake piping to get the desired set up.

Just wish it wasn't so damn cold out. Or wish the garage was heated lol

^ Damnit where was I when this information was passed around? Lol I've got a heater out there but it doubles as the a/c unit so its not to effiecient and its expensive as hell to heat up the garage for 1hr worth of work.

I'll wait till its at least another 20 degrees warmer out lol

Yea.. Lowes/Home depot.. Even Tractor Supply (were I got mine).. I burn kerosene.. It's a tad on the expensive side but Fuel Oil was giving me headaches.. I also put some sent in it so it smells like pine when it burns.. :)

IIRC, it was about 100 or a tad more.. A full tank (about 2.3 gallons) will last upwards of 12 hours and it has a thermostat..
