That's it.. IAC kicked the bucket for good!

LMAO!!! I think I'm getting to Jamie... Dude, relax... Yes I had a hard time getting my fat hands in there, no I didn't investigate any other options, yes I'm sure I could do it but truthfully I have other priorities. If I didn't have the truck I'd probably be flipping out & would've gone in there full force & done it already but when you have multiple cars it changes your perspective of the issue. It's also been raining like hell the last 3 days here in Miami. I'm hoping there's sunshine because I'm actually looking forward to taking that IAC apart this weekend.

Oh, & Jamie... I know you are busting my balls but I'm actually very hands on! Want to talk about tight fvcking spaces? I've done waverunner engine rebuilds quiet a few times. Engine bays inside waverunners are tighter than the vagina of a 12 year old! Well, now a days with today's filthy society I may have to subtract a few years!
Anyway, these are some of my passed projects! Another true hobby I cherish!

My 63 MPH baby!!!

Empty engine bay, no exhaust, no wiring, etc...

Here's my friend's Crayola Waverunner (A 82mph beast). Did some work to that one too... Insane constant cuts & bruises & a sh1t load of profanity!!! OMG yes!!! You learn how to let the steam aaaaallllll out with profanity in these tight spaces!

Alex if you dont have the flow just get to a local u-pick and get a used one...it shouldnt be more than 20 bucks for a used IAC...make sure you get a new gasket...and replace the bitch...20mins tops and your car will be back to normal...its not a put the car away b/c my stupid IAC is shot type of thing, its an IAC for crying out loud...its a simple fix. DO IT!!!!

Here's the problem with the Gen 1 IAC & the junk yard... Can you imagine dealing with double the swamp @SS I will get from sweating on both Mark VIII's? Mine & the one at the junk yard, then after installing it, finding out it's stuck the same way or have it work ok then 2,3 months later it kicks the bucket? That would suck donkey balls! lol

It's funny how I hear everyone with a Gen II talk about the blend door & I have no idea WTF that is other than it has something to do with the A/C?... Now that I own a Gen II & the A/C isn't working in it, I wonder if I'll have to learn! lol
Who the fvck told me to get into tha Mark VIII hobby? Ahhh, gotta love it! Regardless, no other forum will ever be the same!

Alex, your blend door works fine. I think the A/C is overcharged. Not sure. When the compressor comes on for a few seconds, the opposite line of what should sweat freezes up almost instantly. Perhaps someone here that knows about A/C can chime in on why this would happen.

Ah good to know... well my stepdad does A/C & refrigeration, I will have him look at it one of these days!

I thought if it had a low charge the dryer would still eventually sweat. Within two cycles of the compressor being on momentarily, the lower line turns white with frost. The dryer never sweats.

So back to the IAC.....

I am wondering if this may be what causes my car to take a long time to for the RPMs to drop after a slight rev in Park. Its runs fine and I have no issues, it jumps right up to a few grand with a tap of the pedal but it takes 10 seconds to come back down.
Should I just replace it now before it quits completely?

Trust me, it's one of those parts you only want to touch if it really goes bad but it already sounds like it's getting there for you! That's how mine started about 4 months ago... Good luck!
