Brand new hood from Ford. Anyone see anything wrong here??

Body shop didn't notice it until it was painted and they went to assemble. Apparently they hang the hood to paint both sides so it was never laid flat before that.

Obviously they are getting another from Ford under warranty but now I have to wait until next week to get my car back...sigh...

I see 1 thing wrong......the price! Seroiusly, $1600 for a hood? Other than that everything looks fine.

The price is messed up. $1600 for a factory hood.

Not the first time I have seen bent OEM parts arrive at the body shop. Most shops assume the part is straight and don't check. Most of the time the shop test fits the part before painting too. Crap happens. At least you are still getting a new hood. It just sucks it will take longer.

when i worked at resto shop we had fenders and hoods that were brand new come in like that, or they just wouldn't fit right.... although with a car from 1930 its to be expected that a new part won't fit right with the old ones... now on something that is less than ten years old, thats a little ridiculous

Was the hood painted? or is that not included in the $1600

Its no longer a Lincoln LS...now its a Lopsided LS.

i knew a guy who worked at a gm plant. and his job was to fix the body panels that came out looking like that. so yeah, it does happen.

I paid $250 for my fiberglass hood. Could not find OEM for my life... Plus 1600 smacks for one? Yikes!

Ahh thats right....so im guessing the aluminum one is lighter.

Just about everything on an LS is insanely expensive. The dash pad (not including the frame behind it) was....

wait for it.....

$4300!!

Just for a stinking dash pad - no frame, no controls, no radio, cluster, anything else.
