what are yous guyes opinions on the best wheels for a gen one. gen 2's look good with almost anything put on. i mean some of your guyes cars are sipmly beautiful with the right wheels. (laser and chicken to name a few) but those are gen 2's. what are your faavorites on some gen 1's?
 
i think it would look even better if you lowered it ~1". nice job on the trim, it looks nice
 
Saleens suck, get old Jagaur wheels. :D


On a Gen1 the Saleens look good but I love how Ultimats car looks with its Cobra wheels. I never liked the Bullitt style before but on Jebs car they look sick (whole car is sick) but that is a Gen 2.
So I guess Saleen or Cobra. :lol:
 
i'm gonna rock 4 aluminum spare rims with some pizza cutter tires, i just have to go back to stock brakes first.
 
Does anyone have speedstars that aren't bent/warped? I was just wondering. As for rims, I would be just as happy with some ugly ass snow flakes as I would with Cobra R's. It's a Mark VIII, not a GD Cobra. Won't be long before people start having Cobra engraved into the rear bumper cover.

Anyway, wheels are something that YOU have to like and not just getting them because someone else has them.

I would love to have these but others would probably say "fkk that" and they only come in 20's or 22's and I wouldn't really want to go that big.

If Met Life would quit playing games with me, I would. idc if they're 20's or not. I think they would set that white car off but..... that's my opinion. I like the lip they have and the black and black chrome along with my black interior and windows. I just think they would look good and nobody else on here has them.

Kind of like the Cobra Star emblems, I just don`t get it. It is after all a Lincoln.

I agree but I just try not hurt anyone's feelings. Why not just go buy a Cobra and put Mark VIII seats inside it and the console and be done with it. Add air ride too if you want that lol. LinCobra! Cobrincoln! I will admit though that some of them look good but putting that kind of money into a $3000 to $5000 car would be hard for me to do.

I got a 03 Cobra and a 93 Mark VIII and I want to make the Mark more like the Cobra and the Cobra more like the Mark. It's makes a nice combo and I even got Cobra Star emblems for the Mark. I'm making what I wish lincoln had made as an option. I think a LSC should have been even more of a performance option. But I wouldn't and didn't change my Mark as much if and when it was my DD. Makes a big differance. My DD is a 4 cly. Fusion. Just trying to be good to make up for the times when I am bad with the Cobra and the Mark. PS I like the Cobra R's
 
why did you make refference to the cobra though terry is my question, most of us have speed stars, those arent on cobra's, those were on the saleen!! dumb ass lololol j/k

I was just saying and I know what saleens came with. You know me, I get threads twisted sometimes lol.

Don, I understand what you're saying too about the Mark. The LSC could have been a bit more rare and designed much more sporty and beefed up in the engine and suspension and brakes, ect.

Greg, don't get me wrong. I would love to have a different kind of wheel but until I find that perfect wheel, I'm happy with stock. I guess my main point was that so many Mark owners want to convert them over to Cobra's. They are trying to put Cobra everything on their Mark which is fine with me because I'm not spending the money. Speedstars look good but too many people have them and too many people have bent or warped ones. Kinda odd to me but again, not my money.

Cobra R's look ok but just not my type of rim as you can see from what I picked out up above with the lip. I think those black ones I picked out would look killer on Jamies car but he would never do that style or size but I bet they would set it off.
 
I scored myself some octastars off of craigslist for my gen1 and they look killer...I prefer the car to look as close to stock as possible including the interior.
 
I don't think my Speedstars are bent. I bought them used so they might be. I got it up to 120 and had no vibration, so I am happy. I bought my mark because I had wanted one for a long time and the mustang(s) get old quick. I don't care if they are pumping out 800hp or what is done to them, they ride like a dump truck and everybody has one. I will however try to get every bit of performance that I can out of my mark. I want it to look goood and kick ass too. I lost my job so that is on hold til I sell my truck or my DD.

Love my cobra r's like the speedstars too.
My Cobra Star emblems are on my fridge :)

I Use a set of octastars for a winter rim... 10 spokes are the only stock I care for.
Get what you like.
 
i like the chrome 10 spokes the best of all the factory wheels. i used to like the ostars alot but now when i see them, i dont like them at all!
