want a 13 sec mark viii.

OK for real, this is the build on my wife's car high 12's low 13's on street tire's and daily driven.
3:53 gears and traction lock, 93 balanced drive shaft, rebuilt trans, 3.5K converter and Baumann valve body, rebuilt motor with 8 bolt cobra crank, H beam rods, KB pistons, 11:3 compression, mild port on heads gasket matched and modified IMRC's, Cobra intake with split back runners and 1/4" hat spacer, Isky split intake pattern cams, stock exhaust manifolds third cat removed single x pipes no mufflers 2.5" true dual to back, Steeda timing adjuster and under drive pulleys, and all the small stuff, fuel pump, regulator, coils, ect........, oh yeh the cold air intake, modified and polished MAS and throttle body with 1" spacer.
About 5.5K invested including the cost of the car and paint job, all work done myself with allot of used or already had parts.

like i said about 10K will get you there.

OK for real this time. Some of this stuff is debatable as to effectiveness, but I figured none of it could really hurt so I tried.

I ran 14.1 in a Gen2 on a 40 degree day. Add a converter or headers and you are there.

You can see I launch pretty hard in the sig. pic.

This is my formula:

LMS twin XX exhaust
LMS MAF
17x9 wheels with Goodyear Eagle F1 275 20PSI
Stock snowflakes in front, 44 PSI Michelin Energy
Ford Racing 3.73 trac-loc
255 Walbro fuel pump
Baumman Shift Kit level 3
LMS chip
Denny Driveshaft
96-98 Cobra underdrive pulley
Autolite 764's
Mobil1 0W-20
Clean trunk; no spare tire, no extra weight 4 gallons of Sunoco 93 octane + 1 Can of 104+ Octane boost
Unhooked front sway bar

Would you happen to have any proof of the 12"s these modification produced. Thanks

Alright, being serious I guess. I have run high 13's on bald street tires with a trunk full of tools and audio gear and a full tank of gas and launching at 700 rpm.

Borla exhaust
off road x-pipe
3.73 gears
Trac Lok
Trans and ECU tune
Kenne Bell 2.2L twin screw supercharger

With drag radials and a 1500 RPM launch the car would see low 13s to high 12's

I ran 14.1 in my 93. I added 4.10's, posi, 3200 stall ,deablo chip,c&L maf and K&N filter. This is thru 100% stock exhaust.I know if I get better tires or mod exh will be 13's.Total cost $439 for car, 4.10's $8,posi free, converter $400, chip used $150, Maf C&L used $40,K&N $40. So $1077 total. I did add other little things like MSD cobra wires and new plugs but car had 1993 wires on her when i got her!!!! Weight 4000 with me race ready.

Yeah, there's a few 13 second Mark VIIIs around. :D

But there's an awful lot of 'could be' 13 second Mark VIIIs, LOL. :p
