Ok, I need to ask you MK8 guru's a question.

An original owner is selling a '93 MK8, pearl white, tan leather, 43,000 miles, excellent shape and is asking 4k OBO. Does that sound like a fair deal?

Take him $3,500 cash, get the car, keys, title, and put the pedal to the floor!

My Dad-who worked for no one but himself from 1946-2010- said "you can't pay too much for a good car or too little for a bad one". He lived long enough for me to tell him how much smarter he seemed the older I got.

Have you actually seen this car in person? I had some dildo in another city with a 95 LSC and he claimed it to be in near excellent condition. It had 70K but was not anywhere near excellent condition. He started at 4K but then went down to 3500.00 and now I think he has given up on trying to sell it. His rims were on backwards too but he said they were on right and that mine were on backwards. I might still have a pic or two of what he called excellent condition.

excellent condition lmao minus the rot, the dent, the busted grill other than that its excellent!!

Whoa lol!

To be honest no I haven't seen it, but my brother who told me about it said it looks great. He used to have a black on black '95. I'm curious as to the condition as well. I want to check it out.

where's it been and has it had any maintenance...check suspension completely, get it on a lift and check the rubber gaskets on the control arms, air bags, oil pan for rust int he "this spot collects water so it's gonna rust spot", pull back the trunk carpet and check the rear shock mounts and rubber gaskets, open both doors bend over and visually inspect under the rubber molding for rust and run your hand along the bottom feeling for rust, run a systems check,...then of course all your normal things: check oil remove cap look in to see if all pretty clean, check trannie fluid, give /af a good eye ball for proper color, road test, lock up brakes, feel for rotor wear, run hard to feel if all plugs are hitting, drive long enough to be able to feel if trannie shudders...(even the slighest shutter and your looking at 2g's in 1 yr!)

I just got done looking at a 93 - looked great, but had a lot of hidden surprises... when your buying on older one, you gotta keep in mind, many of the parts on a Mark were meant to be maintenanced, if the mlg didn't make it to the mlg required for maintenance, then the rubber your looking at is 17yrs old and, if driven daily (which obvioulsy has not been the case since the mlg is so low), will need replaced shortly after you uby it.

actually it's best to take a check list with you and just go down it as you inspect... he's asking a pretty penny for 93, especially if it's a northern state Mark

I'm picky in the Price of a Mark VIII ... Price depends on how bad you want it.

Personally $4000 is too high .. ... I just purchase a 93 in excellent condition with 81,000 miles for $2500, I really didn't want to pay $2500 they started at $5000 LOL .. is all I did when I say the $5000 and then I was told it would get that price at an auction. Right...

Drove it home that same day for $2500

Sale ya my rare blue/blue early 93, all susspension has been replaced minus the UCAs...it's in excelent condition..lol...bring me $4000

if you're getting a 93, and it's gonna see alot of sun...be prepared to buy a new hood from a 94-96 or an aftermarket hood from LMS
