i hate that armor all give the leather a shiny look! leather is supposed to look dull!!! but i do want to condition it, what do you guys use for the interior?

ArmorAll is the worst, I've used CaliforniaCreams (can no longer find it) that stuff was awesome

right now I'm using CoverAll (mainly a tire dressing) that's good on leather and vinyl and plastics..it's in a blue can and is available at Oreilly

Also Meguires (anything)

I usually use Maguires leather conditioner for the seats and Black Magic for the dash, door panels, console and trim. Armorall sucks bad. I also heard that it can actually cause the leather and vinyl to dry out and crack over time.

I use Meguires wipes for leather on the..... well, leather.
I also use Meguires interior wipes on the rest of the stuff.
Every few months I will break out the Meguires leather conditioner and really clean up the seats.

I use Wizards Leather Plus for Leather and vinyl or Bickmore 4 for leather only. smells great!

which one gives a dull finish to the leather, this is what i want. i dont really like the shiney look, to me it makes it look like vinyl....

If my leather was good, and I could afford it...Mink Oil!!!

My seats get Baby Magic lotion. I don't like shiny either but the leather is nice and soft with the dull look. Cheap, you can find it everywhere. I know some are laughing but it has worked for me for a long time. These seats have seen disaster before and still look good. Baby Magic ain't just for baby asses.

Leather Masters gives a 100% matte finish.

1z cockpit premium will give your vynil and plastics in the interior a matte finish too.

i use meguiars natural finish on everything inside except the seats, i use lexol on the leather.

That's like that old mark I had that had to have 10% unicorn piss in the petrol.

The Myth Of Saddle Soap

In the late 1800's the final tanning of leather required the talents of a "currier". This craftsman took the tanned but brittle hide and worked oils into it until the desired flexibility was obtained. This process was called fatliquoring. The fatliquor of choice was an emulsion of oil in soap. This "saddle soap" was not used as a cleaner. It was a softening conditioner.

In fact, saddle soap is a very poor cleaner. It must first dissolve its own oils, limiting its capacity to dissolve dirt and oils in the leather. Saddle soap is also inherently alkaline but alkalinity is damaging to leather. Another problem arises during application. Most saddle soaps instruct the user to work the lather into the leather. Since loosened dirt is suspended in the lather, it is pushed back into the leather's pores.

Saddle soaps have long been replaced in tanneries by modern emulsions which penetrate, soften and condition with greater ease and stability. the popular myth of saddle soap as a cleaner however persists as modern folklore.
