Boy, his mark would sure look good with some saleens or cobra r's;) j/k lol!

I think Bill should donate his Kenne Bell.

As far as i know, the story goes like this....

Pepps bought a towncar, came across this site, joined, posted a bajillion post in a short time, befriended many folks. then Mespock started his Boscobel party and pepps went to it, told many people over the years HOW BADLY he wanted a mark Viii but could not afford one.

now,i dont know pepps except from reading on here, but as best i can tell a lot of people have grown to love him and the result is what we see here.

someone who actually had a hand in this and knows pepps personally can tell us if that is about right.

Sweet - Thanks, I was more curious as to the story then anything - like did his car die on him, or something you know? Not like "Ohh well why him..." just saw the thread, thought it was a really nice gesture that most people wouldnt do for just anybody so I was curious what it was all about. Thanks!

Pepps is everyone's friend here. He's got a 20 year old town car with no A/C which kept him from last year's meet. He lives in steamy Oklahoma. The guy is a saint and deserves better from life. This is the least that can be done to say thanks.

Gotcha - well, see my above comment. A car without AC is rough, I had my mustang down in Miami for a few weeks, and even tho the AC was colder then an Ice Age, the exhaust leaked through the shifter so I had to keep the windows down LOL... I can feel his pain!

Yeah thats a question I never asked. I only interacted with Pepperman a couple times here on the site when Rich approached me with what they wanted to do. I knew his situation and thought if I could help then I would. Since then I have talked to him in chat allot and hes just a good dude. His friends wanted to do something nice for him and they did. Its not a question of how deserving he is, its just friendship. Pure and simple.
Look at me. I don't deserve chit but my friends wanted to help me out and they saved my ass on here. Again, its just friendship. You have a friend in need and if you are a real friend you help out if you can. Its like when Sapperfires alt blew out a few days ago. He cant buy a new one till payday so I told him come take my new one cause I ain't using it right now.

Sorry, I am rambling.

Ohh well yes granted, but I am sure everyone here who considers eachother friends would do a nice small gesture, but to organize rebuilding and gifting a whole car to someone I figured there was a story behind it.

Are you saying I'm wrong?

btw...while I'm coloring you better not steal my food!
You posted so chances are whatever you said was wrong.

looking at the shafts the only visual difference is near the U-joints the seam is welded on the 93 and is not on the latter ones. There is more difference then that but visually from the outside thats the only difference.

That is a 93 shaft, they all had the bump... notice how it doesn't have the gap at the pumpkin end...

Yep, I looked at my 97 drive shaft earlier since I can't even give the thing away and it is exactly as you describe.

Sweet, new info. I truly thought one piece meant that there was no center weld. You learn something new everyday :)

Sometime being schooled is a good thing ;)

I'm still amazed by JD... dude just didn't stop working... all damn day!

I don't think that JD is ADD ... and distracted by everything around him ... he stays focused ... LOL .... he doesn't get distracted into other's conversation when he's working ...

Oh the other hand after he's done working .... and I'm sure Mike will agree ... JD has some great stories ....

Oh and remember Pepps was the Foreman of the last stage ... I was about to fire him for not keeping the Kid working ... LOL ...

that would have been great if pepps didnt get his car finished for himself, well, not great of course, but funny and ironic.

SO Pepps?

how is the car?????
