Ok granted it's dark and I've had a few beers but seriously... I just want to get the cover off to buff it clear again. I bought the kit, and unscrewed the screw on the side but there has to be more to it then this cause that screw didn't really help at all. Can anyone help?

Headlight covers? Is this a trick question? The headlight housing is a whole. You can buff them while they are on the car or take a dremel tool and cut the front off the housing and buff it but if I were you, I wouldn't do that.

for the headlight?

there are 3 bolts and 1 screw holding the housing in. 2 bolts will be on top and 1 will be on the side. ..drivers side it will be on left side.pass side 3rd bolt will be on the right side.ext will be needed....Btw, you dont need to take the housing out..Just leave them in and mask the whole way around it so you dont scuff the paint ect

There are three bolts (metric) that hold them on. Pop the hood and you will see three plastic tabs being held down by a bolt. Unscrew the three bolts and the one phillips screw on the side.

Next you will have to disconnect all of the electrical connections but be careful...years of use make them brittle...the break easy.

Then pull the HID wiring from the harness and it should slide right out.

It's easier than it sounds. I just did both of mine. It's 10 times easier to wet sand off the car.

also will add to get to the bolts you have to lift up the black panel that says mark viii

Ahh ok so apprently if I read the directions inthe box it would have clearly explained the headlights stay in and I wouldn't have asked this retarded question. Shame on me! Thanks guys lol

usually i get a tow strap, and i feed it in under the housing, and i come up around the back side of the housings and come back out through the top , i then hook the strap to a truck, or a car either will work, the strap i use is 200 feet long so you can build up serious speed before the slack in the strap is tight, takes the housings out super easy, and makes for having a little fun too.
