Wheels for the chamelion.

I did find the guy his name is Terry. His user name is TorontoLSC I think. The car is for sale right now for $4500.00 but does not have those wheels on it. I can call him and find out anything you want
 
You want the wheel to be 20x8.5 with 35mm offset if you want to be able to rotate tires.
This offset will allow for a 245 (possibly 255 if you want more outside dia) 35 20 tire without rubbing on the spindle, or the rear quarter lip.

The black 2nd gen pictured has 20x8.5 35mm in the front, and 20x10 45mm in the rear, all hub swapped of course.
 
They make the 20x8.5 with a 38mm offset or a 20mm offset. Is the 38 gonna be too much you think?

I was thinking with the big Brembo kit or like a 6 piston AP setup then hell yeah I would want everyone to see them! :lol:

38mm will work, but only because it's a 20" wheel. It would probably limit your tire size to a 245/35/20, which is actually a pretty good fit on a 8.5 wheel. Anything bigger, and the 38mm offset might run the tire into the upper ball joint end.

I really wish that I had seen this picture before I bought my wheels. I would have gotten these in a heartbeat.
 
If it is too much I could have them machined down or would I need a spacer?

And those wheels on that old ride, WHAT ARE THOSE LIKE 34's?
 
FWIW,
The front wheels on my car are 18x9 with 30mm offset and 255/45/18's on them. The rears are 18x10 with 40mm and 285/40/18's. They are 05+ offset Mustang wheels (with a hub swap).
Since the car is lowered, I had to roll the rear fenders to keep the tires from rubbing them whenever I hit big dips in the road. I also trimmed the top corner of the bumper as it was rubbing also. I think if I had gotten 275's in the back, it wouldn't have been a problem at all, but I really like the 285's.
 
20X8.5 fronts with a +30 - +36 would be good
20X10 Rears with a +40 - +45 would be good but I would lean toward +45 exactly with the rears. You dont net anymore lip with a cast wheel by going with a lower offset like you would with a custom 2pc wheel where you can move the center through the barrel to net more lip. With the cast wheels they just build up the hub-pad.

you wont get the look that it seems you are wanting then. Its a give and take. I can appreciate wanting to rotate your tires, but....=) Oh yea, its your car huh...haha

Super wide is not what I am wanting. I just want them to tuck in and not look like the Honda down the street that blares the salsa music.
 
I love the fat in the back but it's not practical for me. I would like to get longevity from my tires.

The photos were a joke, but an example of poor advice and plain ignorance.

You can tuck a 18X10...The Mark that was posted up earlier had 10's in the rear without question. If thats the look you want then you gotta go 10's. Otherwise the rears are gonna look and fit basically just like the fronts. So keep drueling over that look cuz you aint gonna get it...hehe ;)

You have all the info you need to go either way. Good luck with the final decision.
