Whats the difference between a double X pipe and a single X pipe? And I know that a double is two and a single is one. :) Im talking about sound quality and why guys use the double or the single.

a double x will give you a little bit quieter sound, and much smoother tone. There isn't any real power gain in the dbl vs a single.

Depends. Magnaflow makes a dual in dual out muffler that has an internal X pipe. That will be quieter than any regular single or double x pipe. It's all in what you are looking to do.

edit: fixed because cadillackman caught my error

I should make a vid of my exhaust, I salvged it from Lasers car, put a cheap X pipe on it and I think it sounds amazing now...

I love the way these cars sound with just the cats and a x pipe. Im not too sure what I want to do right now though. Instead of an exhaust I was thinking of doing 4.10s with a traction lok. Since I brought up the subject about 4.10s will these work for my car.

And when I do the 4.10s will I need a tune and how do I go about changing the speedometer?

ya how would a dual in dual out magnaflow MUFFLER be louder than a xpipe?

also how do headers affect the sound? i want to put some on but i dont want it to sound raspy.

And you're gonna be a lawyer?!?!? I can't wait for this...
Your honor we find the defendant guilty ( goes home) oh crap I meant NOT guilty, oh well

I agree the Magnaflow dual in dual out X-pipe resonator works very well and sounds nice but a little loud. Also it works well with headers. What mufflers would work best in the back?

LOUD? Definitely not. Ask anyone at Jamie's meet if my car sounded loud. If anything it sounds to quiet!

Yes and you buy a new speedo gear for 410 s and install it in the driver's side of the tranny. If I remember right there is one bolt holding it in. Remove the bolt and slide out the gear. Unclip the speedo gear, slide it off.

You could probably find the trac-lok for the low-low on flea bay. Got mine for 5 bones, but shipping was like 50 bucks

Mine is loud. Maybe its the lack of cats, or the 2 1/2 in pipes all the way, or the headers or the supercharger but its loud. Sounds nice but loud. It really improved the performance.

I have the Magna Flow Race series #1485 as I am running 3" exhaust from the collectors.

Is that one X type resonator or is that two mufflers and if so do you have a X-pipe. Also how do you plant that much power. I have 255-50-17 BF Comp TA on the back and still have to leave the traction control on.

i have to record a video of my car from behind, mine is a little loud when on it, but at an idle its not bad, if you hear mine at idle you wouldnt expect it to sound how it does under acceleration. this is the only video i have so far of how mine sounds from inside another car next to me. you can hear my wife's car just before i step on it, all i did to her car for now was swap on a dual exhaust with cats from a 98 lsc to her 93 and cut the mufflers off. my car has a pair of kooks 3/4 length headers, two magnaflow high flow cats, and all 2 1/2 inch stainless mandrel pipe with magnaflow mufflers, the oval normal looking mufflers not the round ones.
YouTube- 97 lsc gettin on it
