Ok so on Friday I go to have new tires put on my lifted Excursion and I have a blow out front drivers side.:mad::mad: So I get it straitened out and get my new tires on.:D:D:D:D

Then I have soccer tournaments all weekend for my daughters by the way they both won!! We have family get togethers saturday night and Sunday night. Now mind you there is plenty to do, but I let my brother use my Mark VIII to go to watch the races in Bowling Green, KY. I get a call at about 11pm telling me he has a tire showing steel belts on the front passenger inside. :q:q:q:qing great. So my lil bro stayes with my aunt and uncle in BG and I come up there Sunday morning to change the wheels out for the factory wheels and sure enuff the tire is ruined. I had told the old lady to get it alligned a few weeks ago becuz it was pulling to the left. Well she never did she kept driving it. I will say thats myh fault and take blame for that. Now here is is Monday and i have taxes due on 4 cars. What wait a minute I only have 3 cars! Wheres this other car you say, I sold a mustang a year ago and the prick hasnt taken it out of my name yet. Ok so I try to be a good guy and call them to let them know that I need it out of my name because I am still paying taxes on the vehicle and I am legally resposible in case of any wrecks yada yada yada.

The dude starts cusing and screaming at me saying he dont need a flipping lecture and that the car is trailered to the track blah blah blah lie lie lie. We see the car on the rode every now and then and the kicker is he has a 19 year old son that drives the car. Ok so my old lady calls the court house and they say theres a couple options.
1: scrap the title and no longer liable, but the guy will have a mess trying to get it on the road again.;)
2: Pay the taxes call the sheriff dept and report it , or have it reposesed because it been a year and its still legally mine.
What would you guys do if it were you?

Here's my take...

Assuming you've been properly paid for the vehicle and he doesn't owe you any money:

Call the guy back and tell him that he will meet you at the courthouse, or DMV, or wherever you have to go to file paperwork to get the title moved out of your name and into his. Give him a specific time on a specific date.

Inform him that if he doesn't show, you will file the paperwork necessary to scrap the title. Explain to him that the car would then be illegal to drive on the street, and the consequences of doing so would be pretty serious for a 19 year-old to deal with.

If you haven't been paid in full, don't bother calling him. Pay the taxes and have the car repossessed. Don't give him the opportunity to hide the vehicle.

if he continues to ignore you, go to your DMV and get an affadavit of sale. its a piece of paper that states you sold the car to that guy on such and such date,
so they cant come after you for anything, ie: parking tickets, citations, insurance claims etc...

Scrap the title. I have to go up to the courthouse and check if the guy that bought my Firebird has had it changed it out of my name yet, if not im scrapping the title.

playboy you work at con-way??
I fuggin hate con-way!

Every single morning I get stuck behind at least two Con-way trucks that do 60 mph in the 70 and make no effort at all to allow people to pass. Totally oblivious ass hat drivers.

I'd scrap the title. The karma train makes its rounds...if you try to take it back after you have been compensated already it will not result in good karma. Just scrap the title and let him deal with the crap. You already called him, he was a dick, so f him. Let him have a field day with the title issue.

I'd call and tell him he has to options.
1. He can meet you at the DMV and get the title switched to his name or
2. You can call the cops and report it stolen.

You can always play dumb with the cops and see how far it goes.

Dont get me wrong I hate Con-way too but do not take offence but them doing 60 in a 70 is ignorance on the public's part. Almost all major LTL (Less than Truck Load) carriers are cutting back trucks to save fuel and go green. Trust me every Con-way driver out there bitches and moans everyday about these truck limits. Also some of the city trucks (semis that are used with in 20 miles of terminal) are regulated to 52 mph. The drivers are also on stringent schedules so that you get your freight timely. You guys wouldnt believe how much of your daily commodities are shipped via Con-way. They are the number one LTL carrier out there right now. You should see some of the other companies.

The court house said its leagally mine and I can report it stolen that way the sheriff's dept can get involved to go pick it up. Because in Ky you only have 30 days max to have titles changed.

I am scrapping the title. I called the state tropper barracks and spoke with a tropper I know. He says that I can go get the car because its his fault for not changing it out of my name and I am legally responsible for it. I can also scrap the title and cause this guy so problems like he has for me but he keeps the car and he gets stuck with trying to get a salvage title for being a dick. That was his personal favorite less paperwork and no civil suit to file.;)

This guy is a total dick and thats all there is to it. The guy used to work for my dad in the coal mines years ago. Of course my dad warned me and like a good son i didnt listen to him. Damn it.

This guy is uninterested in swapping the title he doesnt give too :q:q:q:qs because its for his 19 year old step son and he is getting or is in a divorse.

Heres the skinny tho. In Ky you need the title and plate to scrap a car. However I buy and sell cars all the time and the Hopkins county court clerk is my really close friends wife. With that being said she has know the whole deal with this guy. She has agreed to for go the plate and has ordered me a new title ($6 bucks and 3 days away). When the plate arrives it will be scraped and until then the car has a inop status applied to the registration. Because it still has the same tags I put on last year.

Because every single one does 60 I figured it was policy but these dicks are dicks. Huge line of 30+ cars behind them and a full width shoulder and they wont move to the side to let people pass. Or sometimes there is some mexican lawn crew doing 55 in front of the Con Way truck and when we get to the double lane thats for passing and is only 1- 1.5 miles long then the ass hat will get in the fast lane to pass that one messican truck but he wont go over 60 and that sticks everyone else behind still. Or the section of highway that slows to a posted 60mph and these fuggers slow to 50!
The trucks on my route to work are driven by very rude inconsiderate drivers.

Not saying they are all like that just all of them that I have seen. Cut expenses by slowing down working America is BS in my eyes.

Yes chicken I am a supervisor for Con-way.:D

nice! supervisor over that D.C. or just over the drivers etc?
my wife works at nestle transportation and is spearheading a nationwide payroll centralization. their trucks are governed to 62, and all her drivers bitch about it too

I am the 2nd shift terminal supervisor 11 am till whenever I get it shut down. Sometimes I can be out by 5 or 6 sometimes its 11 or 12 just depends on the time of year and what not.

The speed thing is killing the drivers. Just like LazerSVT keeps saying but if those drivers pull over and get behind schedule they will be disiplined for causing late schedules and eventually loose their jobs. But you cant convience some people out there that they have a job to do and its highly regulated. Those schedules are just like when I worked on the railroad if you stop for any reason your in deep :q:q:q:q unless of course its an emergency or per a supervisors request.

Well, I used to be a truck driver, sometimes doing multi-drop. One unscheduled interruption and it messed up EVERYTHING, causing loss of bonus and creating lots of angry people.

Oh, and just for the record: NYK Logistics can go :q:q:q:q itself!!!! :)

yeah i use to hate drivers like that son of bs... of course im a driver too i use to drive a century mid top but i guess we didnt worry about anything 92 miles top speed 13 spd
any way playboy do the right thing lol.
