i would go to finishmaster and get some ebony black basecoat put into some aerosol cans and do it that way instead of acrylic crap from autozone. use real car paint, its not expensive. you can just wet sand what you already have painted, with a 400grit and spray bottle of water, get it nice and smooth again and spray real base coat over it. i'm not sure whats out near you for autobody stores, here are the finish masters around here.
