has anyone painted their rims??

the problem with powdercoating is the center caps, the only ones you would be able to powdercoat are snowflake caps, because they are metal, all the other mark VIII rims have plastic center caps, so you would have to paint those.

I actually quite like that DJG Mark with the fully black wheels - has a 'cop' look to it. Gut feeling tells me the owner of that car is a cop.

very true, did not know that

Hey guy! I finally spotted you on here! :)

Whats up Jesse!

im going to do this on my 93 how shoud i prep them? just clean and spray?

Id sand them down with 800 grit, clean with a degreaser, prime, paint, then clear.

Im going to do mine this weekend but cant make up my mind if I want to do a dark gunmetal color or black...

That's a tough one when you consider that the car is black. The black wheels might be too much, but it's hard to say. A dark gunmetal might give the wheels just enough contrast to stand out and look good.

Take pics when you do them and make a write-up! :D

See thats the problem. Car is Midnight Opal. Pictures do not do this color justice at all. Im thinkin the gunmetal color MIGHT clash a lil.

Yeah I can take pics and do a write up if you guys want me to. Not a problem! :D

Oh Midnight Opal eh? Oh well, in that case, black might be just dandy!

Yeah, a write-up would be good - be nice to know what products you used etc. I'd guess a high heat primer/paint/clear of some sort (Duplicolor?) would be best?
