The hood on the '93 has been plagued with 'waterspots' in the paint despite being repainted a few years ago (2006). It was going to need to be repainted and I decided that being the case, we would be better off painting another hood. ;)

I snagged a custom hood from the maker of the SWB Mark VIII. It arrived last week and we managed to install it over the weekend. :D

Now I just need to make an appointment with a paint/body shop to get it painted. :)

I need to see it with paint to give an honest opinion. I am leaning towards boxy though.

Just looks boxy with no paint and being indoors. Little paint, sun light, and some custom decals for the sides of it :D She will look bad ass hell.

looks like one i saw at carliye a couple of years ago. think it was orange. way to go jp always liked it.get some good clear it should make you wear sunglasses. enjoy jd.

how much did you get it for ? very nice

No more than the Cobra cowl hoods that are available. ;)

I love your car!

Thanks, we have good tastes in wheels too! :D

take a pic from inside, i kinda am interested in what it will look like

I need to take some more pics, I'll get some of the inside as well.

Very nice JP. will i get to see it in person next month?

I certainly hope so! :)

Hmmm, only 2 reasons you get a hood like that, 1 - you have a SC, 2 - your getting a SC.

Make that 3 reasons. The stock hood needed painted again due to the waterspots and I have no faith they would not come back, so...

I hope it looks as good when painted! ;)

Nothing on this car comes easy. When removing the stock hood, I twisted off a bolt and had to drill it out and tap it. :(

Then when removing the hinges from the new hood, I twisted off a bolt and had to drill it out and tap it! :( :(

I was "this close" to making it a "pin-on" hood, LOL. :D
