I just bought a 97 LSC and the owner had just spent almost what I paid for the car to install new HID's along with new housings. While the light output isn't bad, it isn't as good as some of my other vehicles with standard off the shelf halogen bulbs. I then noticed that on eBay, one can buy HID retrofit kits up to 55 Watts. I imagine that these 55 W bulbs might put out quite a bit more light than what's in our Mark VIII's which are probably more like 35 Watts. Has anyone tried retrofitting their housing to accept one of these HID conversion kits? What are the potential snags/pitfalls?
