hey anybody ever replaced the LED's on the mirrors...mine stopped working ..what's that gonna cost another thousand?

Calm down, you can buy a whole new mirror for $50. LOL. The puddle lamps come out with the right application of a screwdriver. Then you can see the whole inside. From there, just pop the glass off and replace it with one you get from someone on the forum. I might have one sitting around myself.

I think you have another problem if both are out. Spending money on a Mark is to be expected if you want to keep it.

True, but that will be the same for most cars this age.

And most of the others are ugly and slow. :)

Wait do I can replace the glass without having to replace the whole assembly? Mine looks like it soul has leaked out into the glass....

I'll look in a bit.

BTW, when my mirror got damaged and leaked that yellow crap, I (temporarily) fixed it by the way you just said. (separated the two pieces of glass)

BUT - what you end up with is a mirror glass that has no anti-glare properties whatsoever. I don't like that, so I'll get a regular, DOT legal anti-glare glass to substitute.

shivers......... thats billcu's post i bet its over here somewhere, did some digging but still no luck, no biggie, i saw what to do, shakes the .org off

Read up, chicken. ^^^^

Ha! I found it here on LvC.

You know what threw me? Bill's write-up was hidden in a thread about differences between a 94 and 95 Mark VIII. WTF??? LOL.

You mean you're not drunk?

Eh, I want the factory dimming feature. I'm blown away that you can't just remove the piece of glass and put in another auto dimming piece. thanks for looking though :)

mine never seemed to work properly, it would only dim if i was in a garage and it was bright outside but not so much with someones headlights

Same here, chicken - mine would take forever to actually dim. Heat never worked either. Total crap.
