Don't let the hate discourage you. This meet will happen regardless. I would like to make this a monthly thing throughout summer. We should make this a big club. And I would love to be part of it. I see Marks allover town and I think to myself is he on LVC? I hope he sees this thread. Just 2 days ago I had one make a left turn past me.[At 135-I-35] I waved and he kicked it hard and sideways over the bridge past me. I hope he is there. I wanna know how he got headlights to look that way. Sorry I'm too poitive.

We will, don't worry. I have a few club members coming with, and a few other rather large friends who may attend. Plus, I always carry a big stick.

(intercom) We have a the track...a busa in the left lane and oh wait is that a Lincoln Mark VIII in the right lane?...those are some sleek cars I tell ya...here goes the tree...the busa makes a 10.324, nothing usual...but wait, look at that Lincoln, Oh boy is that Hot Rod Lincoln fast...WOOH!, 11.210...that's one nice lookin' Lincoln and boy is it fast too...the crowd stood up from the benches when that Lincoln took off...

.I'm estimating around a dozen cars[some not marks but nice]. The more the better. If you come there will be more. It takes initiative for this to be good.Take that step and say I will be there also. If everyone said well if there aren'y gonna be that many so I won't go, things like this would never come together. Bring those marks out and have a good time with us all.

Are you the owner of Over Kill Performance on 23rd and Haskell? I see a Mark VIII parked out front when I drive by on my way to work. If so, I'll have to stop in and say hi sometime. I saw your car parked at O'Reilys on Friday and thought about stopping in just to see who's car it was.
It will be too early in the season to get my Lincoln out for the 20th, but I will try to make it in something.

My buddy owns Overkill. I do most of the work to my car there. I actually work at O'Reilys. Sometimes the 23rd st store, sometimes the North Lawrence store.
I've never seen your car around? I've been in lawrence for a few years now.

I moved here last August from Nebraska. My car rarely makes it out of the garage, so you haven't had too much of a chance to see it I guess

I forgot to tell everyone that I am now working at a speed shop in Holt, Mo. I just wanted to say if you need some work done before the Cruise bring it in and we can have it knocked out in no time. We can do an engine swap in 2 days and a Tranny in an afternoon. You can't beat our rates 60.oo an hour with a 10% dicount for two more months. Let's get all those Marks and other Hot Fords out for this Cruise on the 20th.We can also get those hard to find parts.

You can have your gears Installed at Overkill. He also has a Dyno Dynamics Dyno. So if we ever want to have a Lincoln Dyno day we could set something up.
These are his general rates, provide your parts: (On Mark VIIIs)
$300 Gear swap
$250 Tranny swap
$1200 Motor swap
$300 Coil conversion
I am a mechanic I will be doing all hard parts installs myself until I can't pick up a wrench. But as far as dyno pulls and a tune on an SCT chip I will need help. Perhaps you could get us an LVC discount? Or a Club discount? If not I would still rather come to a shop that has first gen Mark experience.
