I went with Arnott. I know, I know, they're crap. But at $186 apiece and free shipping, that's all I could afford. And I want to keep my air suspension. They have a 1 yr warranty. So they should be about ready to crap out since I bought them last January

. But I did take one precaution. I coated the inside of the air spring with Green Slime. I don't know if it will keep them from leaking or not. But it was worth a shot. I know the stuff works on tires. I figure maybe it will keep the dryrot cracks from leaking over time. Also, I've had a set of Arnotts before. About 5 years ago. They both crapped out after just over a year. Then I went with a pair of used OEM air spring/shock units and they lasted several years. Then I bought Arnotts again. The new Arnotts appear to be of much better quality than the ones they made 5 years ago. I just hope they last...knock on wood. I can't afford $400 bucks apiece. But the good thing is, if I do have to replace them, I can do it myself in less than one hour in my driveway. That's one thing I love about the Mark VIII's front suspension. Easy as pie to change the shocks. And since it's an upper and lower control arm setup instead of McPherson struts like the old Mark VII's, you don't have to worry about re-aligning the front end when you're done. Sweet.
