The reason why I ask is when I had my Sniper I set it to my new tire size which was 25.6" tall. I was told that it does not matter since it wont change anything but with the 245/50/16 tires the speedo was dead nuts correct when it should have been reading 3-4 MPH too fast. Now my 275/40/18s are the same size as the stock tires so the speedo should read correct but since my tune is set for the shorter tires my speedo reads slow. When it says 60 I am doing close to 64. I have confirmed this over the last 400 miles and know its correct.

So my question is do you guys know for sure the tuners cant adjust it or just assume it couldnt since the Mark reads the wheel speed sensors?
I have this nice new fancy SCT tuner now that I need to have coded for my mark and I really want to use it. Would be nice if it would make the speedo read correctly again. :D

There isn't anything in the tune that changes anything speedometer related... Gen2's read off the ABS sensor for the speedo...

There may not be in the X-cal but what about the Sniper? In the program menus there was a section to set tire height and with that non-stock height I entered the speedo was dead nuts on. Now with stock height tires its no longer correct. I wish I could return the car to stock so I could see if the speedo would be correct again cause if with a stock tune the speedo reads correctly then that would confirm there is a way to change that signal to calibrate the speedo.
A spedo gear is less than $10. Thats what I did.

Thats only for the ride height and something else.... I forget what. Kid knows. When I ordered my stuff from Max I wasnt gonna order the speedo gear to go with my new gears since I have coils but Kid said there was something else that also used that signal.
Transmission controller I think?

Have you checked the one on the tail shaft of the transmission? When I swapped the 93 parts over to the 98 trans, I also had to swap the speed sensor out on the tail shaft. I doubt it's your problem but maybe.

Why cann't you return the car to stock with the sniper?
Trans speed sensor also works with the speed limiter.
