In a word...

No.

We had a bag leak and the car would sit down on the fenders atop the tires. You would have to do a fender roll, and even then it would be close.
 
DFL... I am very interested in the Delrin stuff... but damn that is a huge pricetage... and yes I do know how much the raw materials cost... Maybe this summer.

Trust me, they are worth every cent.

Whenever I get around to rebuilding that IRS subframe I have in storage, it will have Delrin bushings in it for sure. :D

Oh, another upgrade I forgot to mention... Koni adjustable shocks. ;)

its a 10x20 i can't open any of the doors even halfway, trying to pull a motor out peice by peice sucks as well, damn you broken cherry pickers, but i also have glass everywhere on the floor, i would take gravel over glass
 
ya, but it seems to never go away, like my elantra car i got now, it was t- boned and the glass broke inside, teh dealership said they got it all cleaned, i find peices at least once a month if not more

Not to mention having to figure out all the dimensions to the .001", buying the lathe and tooling, sending out the spacers for mil spec hardcoating, and the 2+ days it takes me to make a complete set. ;)

Trust me DFL I am in no way knocking your price, I think it very well reflects fair market value for the parts... I just can't afford them and it makes me sad :D
 
can you get a motor out from the bottom with your 4 post driller? If you can get the a motor and trans out from the bottom with that setup I may have to look into it for myself.

It's not Driller's 4-post lift, it's mine. And, no, I can't drop an engine out the bottom. Transmission, yes.
 
clearance

Did you have any clearance problems with this setup? Also can you tell me where you obtained the center caps? Thanks Larry

I have the ASHAM8 module but for some reason it's stuck at 40%. On rough roads the speed lowering would cause it to rub a bit in the rear. After a while I stopped and turned off the suspension switch. Then the rubbing was gone. So, with the right suspension height setting, there are no clearance problems.

I found the centercaps on centercaps.net
 
Driller. I'm going to do essentially the same upgrade as this. Did you change the upper suspension arm to sub frame bushings? If so what did you use? Can you give me the Koni Model number, and were they a direct fit? The same for the brake lines. I will be using the 10th anniversary Cobra front calipers though. The Roush's are just to expensive. Did you use Ed's rear caliper brackets. I hate being so nosy but this info will save me a lot of time. Many thanks Larry

I ordered the Delrin bushing kit from DLF. It does not replace the inboard bushing in the upper control arm, but includes all three knuckle bushings and the two inboard lower control arm bushings.

I ordered the Koni rear shocks from SCP. They are listed as a set of 4 for the Tbird, but I asked Bill for just the rears. They were a direct fit using the upper bushings from the Bilsteins I replaced since I had the custom upper shock mounts and not the stock shock mounts. :cool:

Thanks man you're a lifesaver. You say that the shock mounts are custom. Was this the fix using the original mounts and the poly bushings? I'll call Bill about the shocks Thanks again Larry
