I finally lowered my Mark.... AND LOVE IT!!!

you should lift it back up in the front anyway you are gonna smoke the front struts super quick being that low, dont be suprised if your front end starts to slam to the ground very soon!!!

fronts way too low, raise it up a bit, i tried driving my car with the front slammed when the air ride went out, i turned right back around and parked it.............

That looks great for being parked, but not for driving. :)
Also don't be surprised the next time you jack the front in the air that the height sensors break or pop off...

I know my car looks like I 4 wheel, but it woul be my luck if I lower it I will hit something and beat up all the stainless. I thought about some of the other systems, and came to the conclusion that I would one day get in the car and forget to raise it, and drag the whole system out from underneath.

I dont scape anywhere. Im used to driving very low vehicles. My cadillac is so low I cant even get a fist under it and a jack is out of the question without someone lifting it up from the wheelwell.

Why would the sensors break or pop off?

They only extend a certain amount when the car is jacked up from the front and the wheels drop down...

because when you lower a mark you compress the front height sensors and they can only compress so much, they are not meant to be that low, so there is no more room for them to compress so if you hit a bump thats decent in size you'll snap the height sensor ball. a pencil will bow to an extent but bow too much and it will snap, same principal.

Makes sense now. I'm glad the old man broke his because he bought new ones and now they're laying in a toolbox drawer in case I ever need one or both for some odd reason. He was pissed about the price of those things lol.

Or just a proper detailing :D

nope, a million rock chips in the front bumper, pealing/flaking clear coat on the rear bumper (looks to be one of those on the lot touch up jobs) and looks like someone was learning how to buff on the drivers 1/4 panel big old burn, "a little" rust :shifty:

read: ALL DONE BY PREVIOUS OWNER yes ive been riding around with jacked paint for years (i love silver)

but only thing that dont work is the heated seats

Ya that makes sence on why they could break. I'm hoping to set it back up a bit if I can find a Ray switch someone wants to sell me. So I can still lower it while parked.

You were right nolimit this thing rides like a pogo stick at 70-80 mph. I got on the highway today and hit a couple of the overpass' and boy did it bounce. Looks like I'll be lifting it back up about an inch (later) and see what happens.

Dude, I sensor lowered my car, trust me when I tell you, they look nice tucked but don't over do it. Listen to the experts on this page. They've owned our masterpieces for a looooooong time & know these cars from bumper to bumper. 3/4 - 1 inch higher on the front & 1/2 inch higher in the rear just so it looks level will look VERY sick! The wheels you buy for it will make the rest of the lowered look appealing enough that it will compensate for that inch you raised it. TRUST ME, you want your car to last. What good is a nice looking car sitting at home with a broken suspension?

I agree with everyone!
I don't want to ruin my car but am usually very busy during the week. Im going to fix it this weekend. I am going to lift it an inch in the front and bring the back up as much as needed to make it level.
Wheels will have to wait a few months because Im beyond broke right now. It really needs a good set. I'd be willing to make a decent drive somewhere to trade my wheels for even a chrome set of the same ones plus a few bucks. Theres just noone around my area.

Use these for now and you'll be alright. :D

I think I like those wheels, but I would of never thought they would look good on this car.
Thanks

I'm in the process lowering mines and I used a grinder with a grinding wheel and
made a slit in where the nut and ball joint for the front height sensors to give
me easy future adjustment by loosening the nut and sliding the sensor up and
down...
