I always said I would never paint the chrome strip on my bumper covers but now that I have some fresh black LSC side moldings, I done the rear today. Sanded last night and primed. Wet sanded today with 1000 grit and did not miss one spot and then come back with a 1500 grit wet sanding on the primer. I spent hours on this. Once I got that finished, I finally got to lay the black paint to it. 3 coats of acrylic enamel and 3 coats of clear. I'm too damn tired right now to get the finished pics but I will get some daytime pictures up tomorrow. It turned out like liquid black glass. It looks unreal now and a lot better with the molding painted not to mention the once scratched up cover. Tomorrow the LSC moldings will go on and then I'll be painting the front bumper cover that I have off the 93. I'm tired of taping things off and I could do it a lot easier while it's off and do a better job. When I'm done, I guess I'll have a mix breed Mark. 1/2 base and 1/2 LSC. Pics below are what I took before I started and after priming.
