most of you read my other post about the 95 i bought for my wife. if you didnt read it, read it first then you will understand this. so the guy was gonna put springs on it, but for some unknown reason this is what he did to it, he ripped out the compressor, cut the height sensors off, yes cut them, and removed the ball studs too, he cut both front air lines going to the struts, and he cut the rear lines where they go through the pass wheel well. unreal, i dont understand why, and he is a collision man by trade, i want this tool working on my stuff!! here are pics i took as i went along, i spent nearly 6 hours putting the air ride back together. i put in a slightly used compressor i had, and 79k struts out of a 98, the ones that were in the car both leak. its all fixed, works perfect, and thank god that 96 is still in the shop ( air line doner car )

all i need to do still is put the vcrm in it, get a new radiator, and change a front abs sensor, lower the rear a hair and slap on some mufflers and put it on the road. i have to paint the driver side door handle too, its a brand new one in primer, easy enough. i got about $22 bucks into the car so far lol.

and everyone says all i do is kill them, here is another in the pages of many i have pampered back to life. you guys just dont see how much i really do to the nice ones, or the ones i spend time on to make nice. this is one that i did a ton of work to last year, and to own it now makes me feel better about the car, because i know what is done to it. i dont just tear them apart, i fix many of these things too, not just for me, but i have a decent bunch of customers here in FLA that i work on too. i just dont take many pics i mean a mark is a mark, who cares about repairs lol!! i have 2 coming this weekend for work, a 97 lsc and a gross 94 santa fe' ewwwwwwwwww the thing looks hideous, only 84k on it though!!!

I got something coming off that 96 hopefully tomorrow..... That is if you sent it. Just bustin balls Jamie, glad you got that one going again. Car looks good. I finally got mine back in it's home again out of the weather and the 93 is covered up out in the back corner of the yard. Can't even see it.

All that 95 needs now is some tint.

Even if you were to switch to coils why would to take the time to eliminate that stuff? esp the compressor, it doesnt hurt anything being there. and to be honest, they arent that heavy either.

i dont know why he did it, some people shouldnt go near a vehicle ever. and the one who asked about the doors, sorry, they are already at the junk yard, and terry, that piece is packed and going with tomorrow's mail.

EMAIL ME BACK JAIME! Or I will be forced to start my phone barrage!

:D

hey jamie, do u happen to have any good used transmissions? i have a 1993 with 1st and 2nd gear only

Jamie.........open a second shop in upstate NY.....We could use your expertise just to deal with the salt/winter caused problems........lol......Just a thought....

Covshark, i have 4 of them, one from a 96, two from 97's, one from a 98, come take your pick they all work fine no problems, $50 each, or take 2 of them for $75 for spare parts, i need to get them out of my shop they take up too much room there is never a " good place " to stick them! they are in the way no matter where they are.

and yes terry it came in, i put it in the car yesterday, elec fan and ac work again. boy i'm good! i knew it was a bad vcrm before i even bought the car. now i just need to figure out why the abs light is on, and why the air bag light is blinking a 32.

jamie, i tried to call u tonight(the number listed in your signature) around 8:00 and didnt get an answer, but i will give u a call tommorow and try to set up a time to get some of those transmissions.

covshark, sorry i couldnt have met you today, but you still got what you wanted anyway, even if it did mean my father in law dumping oil all over my shop floor lmao!! thanks for your business.

yea he sure did dump oil all over, he seemed like a great guy. You willl continue to get my business with these prices, the best $80 i spent and only an hour and half away. Do u happen to know how many miles were on these transmissions, or if they've been jmodded or mercon v switch or anything of the sort?

i dont know whats been done to them, and i saw you took both 97 trannies, one of them only has 79k on it the other one has 130k, both of them drove awesome, no tranny shudder, no slipping, as you could see i am still trying to finish my new shop the way i want it, and i want to finish my loft i just built, and those trannies are right in the way, thats why i let them go for so cheap, i just want them gone, with two gone now, i can try and finish the loft this weekend.

jamie your a GOD do u have a pair of control arms or do u recommmand to get new ones.My bushings are shot and found out my ball joints are bad on the passanger side. ANY IDEAS

Jamie, your shop looks awesome, it seems that you have all the proper tools u need to do anything. Your loft looks good too with the MK8 parts stacked all over the place. Plus the addition of the cylinder head guy next door makes things even better, he helped me load up the transmissions in the back of my Xploder. Heres a question for you, is there anything i need to change on the 97 transmission(TCC) to be able to put it in? Also, since i am fairly lazy what would u charge to put it in with my help if u wanted to make a few bucks? I could really use your expertise if u were willing to help out a fellow MK8 enthusiast.

edit: also what type of cleaner did u use to clean the carpets in the mark you have in your shop, those carpets looks brand spanking new.
